From what I understand, they'll be released August 1st, the 1000 mile boot will be made in the US and retail for around $300 or so. Based on that website, the 1000 mile boot will come in regular and wide, all the others just normal width. I'm looking forward to these being available.

I'm thinking of them too, but I've heard the quality is poor.

i can't seem to find any real info on them, even most of the specs are contradictory across most sources (i'll take their homepage as the truth, tho).

i was kinda more interested in the garrison series, the montgomery in particular. maybe we can stir up a little chatter? i might have to take the plunge myself and do the research for the forum. whispered rumours of poor quality make me a little apprehensive about dropping for them, though....

Yeah I guess so, I always thought cultizm was overpriced. They do have some nice sale prices, but other than that it is cheaper to buy stuff over here in the US.

You have to consider that most of the boots Cultizm sell are Made in USA so shipping of boots over to Germany is probably quite pricey. On the other hand the denim they sell (which are made in Europe) is a very low priced.

Anyone know the sizing on Wolverine 1000 Mile boots?

^Sorry, I dunno, but in fact cultizm's denim is quite expensive for europeans, at least concerning nudies. The nudie webshop is was cheaper here.

US9=28,0 cm (cultizm). So they're one size oversized, similar to RW's.

Thanks dr.house, I've been doing some research and really am starting to like the Wolverine 1000 mile boots. I'm seriously thinking of getting a pair. They have more of a dressy look than my Red Wings so I can use them for different occasions.

same sizing as red wing, i have the montgomery. don't be expecting the same kind of bang for your buck as you would from red wing, because they're not quite in the same league- RW is streets ahead. and for those in the know, REVOLVE is the cheapest place to score wolverine- free post worldwide, plus they always have a coupon running.

i was astounded by some of the prices i've seen in europe (ahem)- literally triple some of the prices i've seen elsewhere. it'll be a rude shock for anyone who drops 500 on these, they really are in the sub 200 category.

From the picture above you can probably tell that my two new boots are quite different. Well, after wearing them 1 week each I can confirm that there is no way of comparing these two beauties. RW is a work boot and the Wolverine is for dress. However, I do wear both to my job. I'm not sure which one I like better yet....they are both very nice and done well. I do think the Wolverine look is more appropriate to my job but the Red Wings are a bit more comfortable and I think it mostly has to do with the outer sole. The RW sole is cork while the Wolverine sole is leather. I'm thinking of maybe keeping the Wolverines for more dressier occasions as I'm expecting the sole to wear out quite fast otherwise.
