    Hi there,

winter's coming so I wanted to start a topic about winter jackets as I need one right now, hehe. So which brands, what styles do you recommend? Which jackets are best for slim guys? I hate this very very big and shiny stuff like hip hop people wearing them, so please only recomends with more style ;)

I wanted to buy one of these ones:

but both were sold out in Size S on zoovillage (I got a short unfriendly answer: we don't get them anymore. Zoovillage really should work on their customer friendliness)

So tell me what you like, perhaps I get an idea of what to buy.

I bought a big black arctic parka with a fur hood made out of a breathable yet water resistant material for winter (not down tho, down jackets are a bit too puffy imho), I was really sick of freezing. But that's not really the jacket you're looking for I guess ;-)

These elvine jackets look similar to the carhartt hooded windbreaker:

These carhartt jackets aren't shiny at all and have a nice and warm fleece interior. You could check out www.rockon.de as well, they have some Stüssy, Alprausch etc along with a lot of army-like parkas.
Or you get the Elvine Schweiz jacket, this one rocks as well :-D

Thanks XMR, but a friend of mine at university has this Carharrt jacket and I don't want too look like a twin of someone, with whom I walk the whole day through the university ^^ Besides they don't have the jackets in S on frontline.
The Schweiz jacket has white and red colours, and I can't stand them, hehe. I prefer autumn colors like black, green, brown, but thanks again.

In a totally different style, I would recommend a black trench coat, especially for slim and/or tall guys. It protects you from rain and still keeps you warm, but don't expect to be safe with nordic temperatures :p
Cloak, Dior and most of high end brands make beautiful ones, but very pricey :? APC should be more affordable, and Zara even more... It's a pretty 'classic' or 'basic' garment, so lots of brands make some...

Otherwise, I would consider a black or brown leather jacket, I think Nudie makes a nice one

ps : sorry, but haven't time to search and post some pics[/img]

An American company called Obey makes a cool military looking parka with a nice slim cut.

If your looking for something more technical looking try helly hansen, their stuff is very very nice, especially if you gonna be in alot of snow and gross weather.

Diesel also did a big parka for this winter... a longer one with a fur hood. I would imagine that it has a slimmer fit also

This being my first winter in sunny california, I guess I don't really have to buy a heavy coat.....strange. I'm used to blizzards and wind chill

I got this one for fall, but probably gonna use it for the winter too.
If you have the money, go for an Acronym jacket, those are really the nicest available IMO

I recommend a classic peacoat, which you could wear virtually forever.

I dont really like the whole bulky jacket thing, the coolest jacket is a worn in genuine leather jacket, i just got a nudie one that i'm wearing in, really nice, still summer here in NZ though so i haven't been wearing it much

I've been looking for a winter jacket for some time without much luck. What I really want is a WESC Robin jacket:

But I can't find one in my size (small).

Spiewak makes a couple nice coats, too:

Then there's Dunderdon. Their j17 and j25 coats are pretty nice.
