Wow! Congratulations! You got a fine looking boy there! Gonna be just as his stylish as his old man I hope. Unless he rebels!

Haha the other side, that sounds about right!

Thanks, I dunno how "back" back I am, but I figured I'd drop by again and see how things have been.

    Ditto!

Do all of you still post as much as you used to, or have we all just distanced ourselves away from the main population?

A lot less than i used to...
Due to several reasons actually, having to devide my time much more than before, and the lack of some of the old timers.
things have changed... they always do, don't they... it's a natural process...

Wow, really nuts to see the crew that was blowing up this board when I joined two years ago. Good to see everyone still alive and well....probably nobody wearing Nudies anymore. :) It's a little more like MyJapaneseDenimz, now.

It definitely is natural. Out with the old in with the new, cheap and quick!

Haha dry denim in general has blown up, and for a while I got carried away. Too much dry denim, and I lost sight of what it feels to just be comfortable! I don't always wear raw dry, but some nice soft worn one as well just to kick it at home and among other things as well. i'm actually thinking of getting rid of some as I simply have too much, and I'm ever changing in shape, I'll eventually buy something new and never wear the old.

Still keeping the love strong, T?

the love for dry denim, for sure, tho I also kinda stopped buying too much and too impulsively...

I'm at a point where I'm just wearing my jeans now and I don't care all that much how they'll fade, I'll embrace the result either way...

I'm also wearing alot more shorts nowadays, where I used to wear my jeans even when it was too hot, guess I'm getting more 'mature' about it.

in highschool, everybody used to belong to a garage band or a sports clique. eventually, most move on while a few kept at it__ even if just sporadically.

being a denimhead can be a life-long affliction__ either you're cured or prolly just in remission. seen your posts in SuFu__ obviously you're past the "rabid" stage__ *characterized by incessant jeans purchases and break-neck postings [of denim porn/waywt/fit pics].

never really known anyone [personally] who understood. i'm a bit too late to establish a clique, so i'm sorta lonewolf lurking the forums__ for me it's therapy__ sometimes you need to feel connected__ even with a bunch strangers.

    check my sig ::

Likewise mate! No need to check for me, I'm a ghost. Already dead :D

I hear ya T. Exactly the same thing happened with me. Stopped buying and realised if I really wanted to get some results it wasn't going to happen by rotating 10 pairs of jeans. It would just never happen. So I think I'm going to unload some for practically nothing. Like you I've been taking my time from the start and let them go the way they do.

And I've always hated shorts but lately, it's just too hot NOT to wear any and I rather just be comfortable then tough it out in some thick denim. Same with some cotton pants, khakis, and other stuff.

Nothing new really, just been keeping up with my art thing, drawing painting stuff like that. Bought a few suits to wear and such. How about you?

hehe yeah the rabid stage is def. over, I think I'm just more aware of what I'm looking for now and I stopped buying denim just for the sake of being able to touch it and compare it to other denim...
I recognize I have a 'problem' and I know how to deal with it now, but I'm also pretty sure it'll be a lifelong problem

well I never hated shorts, I just never found any that I liked, they were either too loose, too long, too short, ugly,... you name it, I eventually found a pair that's everything I was looking for, so I got two pairs in diff. colors and now I'm good for a few years I reckon :p

Oh I definitely hated them haha. But I'm ok with them now. I only have one or two pairs myself. And I was actually hoping to make a pair of shorts out of a pair of suit pants I bought from Theory but from a 2nd pair but I couldn't find them anymore so that went out. I wanted to do the whole Short Suit since it was a nice white and light grey seersucker cotton suit.

Haha which grails were those? I don't think I have grails anymore, I just lost interest.

No clue what those are really, haha. I agree with you to an extent. I don't mind paper thin denim, in fact I wouldn't mind some right now. More comfortable and breathable for one. And at this point while I like to look good, I prefer to be a tad more comfortable and relaxed then just looking good. Of course everyone's physiology is different, but I heat up way to fast in thick denim, even normal weight at times.
