I got my RRDS, SJOD and MASA all at the same time and decided to tuck the MASAs
away in the box under my bed and forget about them. There are only 500 pairs
worldwide, right? With the way Nudies is gaining in popularity, won't these MASAs be
worht a pretty penny come 5 years, 10 years? What do you think? What are you doing
    with your MASAs?

Highly unlikely, look at the RR Veggie Indigo Nudude is selling in the market place. Instead of gaining in value, it's not selling even for a lowered price. What size are your masa's?

there are a few things to think about:
1: size is an important thing
2: the veggie's were not properly sanforized, this is the problem with Nudude's pair I think, otherwise I woulda bought those in a heartbeat...
3: yes Nudie will become more popular, but jeans isn't really something that goes up in prize unless it's like a vintage pair of levi's/lee from waaaaaaay back...
also, as Nudie becomes more popular, it'll also get less exclusive/attractive, so they won't be willing to pay as much for a pair as when they were still 'exclusive', like with Levi's kinda, they used to be THE jeans to have, nowadays, there just jeans you can find pretty much everywhere...

all in all, I highly doubt they'll be going up in prize at all

To add to your bit Tiro,

    4. They're being sold everywhere for a discount, so kinda loses their value and exclusivity if you know what I mean.

yeah actually, what is up with that, limited edition jeans being sold at discounts, kinda takes away from the entire concept imho...

then again, they are the Masa, so I don't care much

totally agree with tiro. they won't gain much value. and the MASAs aren't that popular. they are still not sold out and that by only 500 pairs. and you could have bought them for over 6 month now.

but if nudie is getting as old as levi's now is...then there will be a chance your MASA gain more value.

Mine are 33x34:oops: I'm a tall bastard. I just wasn't sure what to do since I have two projects on the go. My calender for the next year and a half is full! What should I do with them? Fit them into the schedule? Or wait and hope for the best?

    two options:

    1. you wait, they'll get their day, jeans doesn't go sour in the closeth, it doesn't eat either, so it's not a problem...

    2. rotation isn't a bad thing, when you're about 4 months into one project, you can start rotating a second into it, just like Naoto and his fades are awesome

so in the end, it's up to you

Hmm what's RROS on your list? RR Orange Selvage??? I think you should fit the MASA's into your schedule. They're a very nice pair of jeans, much better than the SJOD (if they're in your current schedule that is)

Yeah, they're a pre-wash with orange selvage so they're not in my schedule. I find the MASAs have a high yoke and since the sizing is really close(33x34) I can't pull them down. I know the SJOD is close to the same fit but the OD is a bit softer so I can pull them down and they feel better. I was also considering some Skulls or the many other fine brands I have to select from(damn I'm lucky:oops:) for the next project. Is saving the MASAs a viable idea or should I just rock'em?

As for Tiros comment, I live in Japan and here Masas cost $400.00 American but I managed to get them at $190.00. So I figured it was a good investment. I, myself, don't like the fit, but I figured picking them up for that amount was a good idea. Don't you?;-)

if I lived in Japan, no hair on my head would even think about buying Masa's at $400...
there are so many things out there that are way nicer and even less expensive...

$400 for Masa's, damn, I would rather pay 800 on a pair of Jomons...
(furthermore, I would never buy jeans when I don't even like the fit)

I only paid 190.00 for them. Even though I don't really like the fit, I bought them for the collectable value. If they have any:roll:.

If they gain as much hype as Jordans and SBs.
