    Hey guys,

following situation. I am infected with a summer-flu since last thursday. I have not worn my sjdj over the weekend, because I think it is not so good, if all the bacteria goes into my jeans?!?

Do you wear your nudies while having a flu? Do you think that a little overnight holiday in the fridge will kill all bacteria inside?

Not a good idea. I advocate wearing your jeans for everything but sweaty flu have to draw the line. If you're sweating alot (real flu you sweat alot) then your jeans are going to stink long before they should which could then force you into a premature wash.

    Get well soon

flu is viral, not bacterial- i wouldn't imagine that freezing them would do anything at all. just don't sweat 'em up too bad, i doubt there's really a problem here, to be honest

kay. It is not a real flu. We call it summer flu but I think the right word is cold without fever. I do not hang out in my bed with my jeans on^^

@ dave: btw, what problem do you mean?

First of all I am not sure this subject deserved an entire new thread. Secondly, fridge will only put bacteria to sleep not kill them. Put the jeans in the sun inside out. Bacteria hate light and absence of moist. I.e they need water to live. When the jeans get totally dry in the sun, the bacteria will be no more.

i just meant that i wouldn't worry about it at all, in the long term you should be immune to all the germs after a few days anyway.

^Me too. If you're so afraid about a re-infection, soak them. If you're more afraid, try this :)mrgreen:, seriously):

...add a capful to the water while soaking your jean.
And this question don't need a new thread, really ("Nudie care").

firstly, your immune system is the strongest when you've just recovered from cold/flu (in terms of resistance to the same bacteria/virus)
secondly, i doubt that the organisms are able to live and breed on your jeans, unless the denim has some kind of live cells, allowing in vitro breeding

oh and third point, we've got misc question threads so maybe post this kind of question there next time :)

^just wanted to takey some of "sauna-guys"burden and remind myself, which threads I´ve started some months ago... I don´t think, that everybody feels stimulated to post in this thread again, just because I have made a little fun by myself... And if I am not mistaken, you wrote one of two following posts ;-)
