Last weeks I noticed (probably you all noticed) a few spammers... I think one report topic for all this kind of problems is a good idea and it's easy to read for the admins.. Eetapdesgh4 <-- doesn't need explanation I think, he spams
As a moderator I have been noticing the increased SPAM but haven't been on the board for a couple of days because of some personal problems. I did contacted the admin about this. And we will figure it out. Thanks for your open eyes.
Thanks guys, yes, we have had some problems with spam recently. The holiday season brings them all out. Hopefully we can control them better. I will look into some ways we can improve the site to keep them out. Thanks again!
Thanks again for letting me know. It seems like the spambots have cracked their way into our site. We are looking to switching to a better forum software. I'll let you know on the progress. Until then I really appreciate you guys reporting any spammers to me.
Thanks again! I just added a hurdle for spambots so hopefully that will cut down on the amount of spam we are getting. Please let me know if it continues or if you encounter any other problems. Thanks!
there only one problem.. we mods can delete msgs from the spam people.. but only mynudies can ban them ..so best is that you pm mynudies for the best result
I am actually very surprised that it has not been reported yet, but there are a handful of individuals with generic aliases, with links in their signatures to a site "in-brands.com". the Most recent name I have seen was: koalasky, the most recent post in the NYC city guide. The website deals in counterfeited clothing of various brand including several popular designer denim labels. They are HORRIBLE fakes. I trust the moderators of this site have it in their power to at least delete the posts of these individuals, particularly those which taint guides to reputable clothing dealers. We had the same problem back on "authenticforum.com" and it was dealt with very effectively, I hope you can do the same here. An idea would be to make the url "in-brands.com" and it's variants censored words. Just for the sake of protecting the community from fraudulent goods.
^^ This dickhead has been on the forums for quite some time, he's been using different usernames to spam.
major spamming -> nk1568 it seems another priority for the new forum, doing something about these spams
