Too sad if your size is not available.
Perhaps they'll made other sizes later?
I hope so because my own Japanese brand only does 14oz and the heavy weight looks amazing.
Having said that I've been I'll in pjs most of the last month.
I'll have to write to one of the big companies and ask if they'll cut a Barbie sized pair.
But my own are pretty cool - custom rivets, button, patch etc.
Something interesting I found on SRJ: Mud dyed jeans.
These jeans by Sunrise Japan really exemplify the role of tradition and craftsmanship that is at work behind every pair of Sunrise Japan’s jeans.
The jeans are first sewn together as untreated and undyed denim (does that make them more raw than regular raw denim?), and are then dipped by hand in indigo vats and special mud baths before being rinsed and hung to dry. Because the process is done entirely by hand, each pair of jeans has a unique finish.
Weight: 13 oz.
Fit: Slim Fit, Mid-Rise
Denim: Once-Washed Sunrise Japan Selvedge Denim
Cotton: 100% Japanese Cotton
Dye: Indigo & Mud Dyed
Made In Japan
Would love to see them fade.
Sounds interesting. looks like an overdyed ih pair
Yeahh indeed interesting. Never heard about this either.
Would be nice to see their evolution somewhere here soon
I believe SugarCane did mud-dyed fabrics before. And really mud dyed as this is a mud overdye as Felix already said. But still interesting
These are great - I'd wear them.
But for all those who occasionally wash their jeans.... Wouldn't the mud come off??
I like the persimmon dyed jeans that somebody did recently as well.
I don't think my jeans maker is quite as forward thinking as that although my first pair of indigo weft/black warp are starting to change eventually.
I'll post on the evo thread when I feel a bit better.
Brand was created by the Ibara Apparel Union, and the jeans are made in a train station.. thought that was pretty cool. denim looks pretty nice.
Only in Japan can you find jeans being made in a train station! All D# jeans are proudly made in Ibara Station in Okayama Prefecture!
D#, which is owned by the Ibara Apparel Union, is pronounced “Dee Eee”. The # in Japanese characters sounds like “Eee” and is short for the city name which is pronounced like “Eee-bara”.
The city of Ibara, which has been making denim and jeans since the mid 1950s, is known for its shuttle loom denim mills and vintage style sewing factories. The Ibara Apparel Union created this store and brand to showcase the talented jeans craftsmen and quality sewing culture of their fine city.
The fabric looks to me a little bit like the Carhartt selvage pants. Very nice looking pair of jeans
Finally got a chance to see&touch Eight-G at Aero Leather.
the monster jeans are impressive, but I wouldn't know when, how and why to wear it.
instead I got myslft a pair of their "very loud" 804-XX:
Measurements & fit pics if I get around to soak them...
congrats, FOXY! i've seen some great evos of those @LIghtning.
yea, mosdef need to see the fit pix.
I have been interested in this particular denim for a while but the back pocket design and branding threw me off. When I was offered to get this pair almost for free I could not refuse.
As I am on vacation in Scotland I will not be able to get things started for another 2-3 weeks. Maybe I'll manage to take some pre-soak fit shots...
Great buy Foxy
I would love and try to break in their heavy weight monster jeans during winter time!!!
^ shoot Will at Aero a mail - I think he was not very happy with fact that the jeans are practically un-wearable, maybe he cuts you a special deal if you offer free advertisement on MyNudies and SuFu....
In the meantime I have started soaking my pair. Here are the pre-soak measurements:
Eight-G 804-XX W32
Front Rise 11.75"
Back Rise 14.5"
Let's see how they turn out - maybe I'll start a dedicated thread...
Thanks for the info Foxy
I already had contacted Will some time ago, but I was probably not ready enough with the Jeansmuseum in his eyes. And in fact I still don't have the time for fast replacement of the real old jeansmuseum website.
But I'll inform him a second time
Your pair look awseome to me. Wondering for the post soak pics (Although as a raw denim lover I would break them in without soaking)
I would be interested in the 1 kg jeans as well, just to own it and maybe break it in. I'd remove the hideous arcs though.
This reminds me... Kojima Genes? Have these been mentioned before? Experience? I'm sure some random guy on SuFu has a pair... Price is pretty low for 29oz, as are all their prices in general...
Yeah they have also been discussed on IH forum and have an own thread their (but not liked very much...well, no IH so what to expect). I think someone in the Indigoroots contest also wears a pair.
Haven't seen much evo on these yet or how they hold up.
I can guess it - they can never have 29 oz, quality is inferior yada yada.
Must have Hello Kitty jeans!
