This thread is dedicated to the smaller Japanese brands which many don't even know about.
Like the in-store brands "Burgus Plus" and "Gleem". Or brands like Strike Gold, Full Nelson, Go West , Fearless (with their very heavy stuff, 29oz).
So all small Japanese brands that don't have an own thread (and maybe don't need one due to less info) are welcome here.

The arcs of those neutral jeans look kinda ugly.

Eight-G, one of the oldest jean makers in Japan (started around 1955 to 1960), surprisingly little known in the West.
They've got lots of interesting, left field kinda stuff - heavy. super slubby, natural indigo, etc

Great pics Mike --- are they available in any store outside of Japan? (If not, any idea why not?)

How about Som├ęt jeans? They look to be pretty nice modern cuts. Does anyone have any love for them?

I don't think Eight-G is available outside Japan, although if anybody would stock it in the future, it probably would be BiG.
I think the back-pocket stitching and the denim varieties they offer are a little too esoteric for the Western market.

Anyway, Somet does some nice vintage-inspired modern jeans - there's a store 5 minutes walk from my house selling Somets!
The denim is not my cup of tea (too smooth), but the detailing is fantastic!

Tedman, established in 1991. Does lots of things, from T-shirts to wallets - available in a few different labels (BRM, Tedman, etc).
Detailing is a bit outrageous, hence no forum love, but quite popular in Asia.

Dania Japan, a small denim brand from Okayama.
Been around for a while - they do really nice, clean jeans (think Denime of old).
No-frills, all quality...and reasonably priced too!

Somets are sold in Australia? Can you tell me who? Any idea if they are sold in Sydney as well, or is it just culture-rich Melbourne?

Hey Nasren, lots of brands are in Australia now - just ridiculously priced :p

Somet jeans are being sold at a Japanese T-shirt bar called Aoi - they only have one store, just Melbourne.

You can get PBJ & Fullcount in Sydney though!
And Adelaide now has some models from Samurai, Sugar Cane, Buzz Rickson, Fullcount, 3Sixteen, etc.

Thanks Mike --- the ridiculous prices bit goes without saying. I'll have to try to find Fullcount in Sydney.

^ They run their own webshop on Rakuten:
    http://www.rakuten.co.jp/daniajapan/

I liked their old leather patches from a couple of years ago better - that said though, they are very nice jeans :)
