Although its quite a few months off I'm debating on whether to get either one of the then new macbook pros or a pc equivalent for university.

Would be getting a 15" and upgrading to max basically with regards to CPU, RAM etc.

Any thoughts or opinions would be welcome!

honestly: should i get a pair of selvage hank reys (or maybe grim tims), cause i like the cuts or should i take a compromise on the cut and go for serious denim? if so which one? (must be available in germany, so i can try on and easily return)

a year or so ago this wouldn´t have been an issue for me, but now it really is...

^i used to have one. didn´t like the cut. got them tapered and afterwards liked them better. i sold them, cause i got too fat for them. now they´d fit again, but i won´t buy a pair just to get them altered.

Was thinking about a 1001, but its too straight for me I think. And I'm not looking for heavy denim right now, but I think I'd prefer a buster if I WOULD go for ih...

Still wear it from Time to Time. Denim is great, leg opening too wide for my liking.

Great news. Keep us updated with a fit of the tims, ok? I really liked the cut when I had 15 kg less.

I don't know if it belongs to this thread, but I'm having a very hard time searching for a decent mid-season jacket.
I'm wearing a nice black leather that did cost me an arm, but it's a bit too much for everyday's life, rain-soaks etc...
Price range would be ~100-200€, it would be natural material, not necessarily waterpoof but could survive rainsoaks, and sizing not too big (short arms here).
Everything I see in "real" stores is crap, light summer stuff, too big or f****ing expensive.

I've found this and that on the internet that doesn't look too bad...

I'm tempted by the superdry, but more choice / suggestions would be welcome!

    Hi guys,

i think I need some help here… I´ve bought myself a scooter to get around my town and save some money on fuel. To be on the safer side in case of an accident I had a nice oldschool armoured leatherjacket. But now that the days are getting hotter, that jacket just won´t do, so I visited the local motorbike-stores to see what kinds of summerjackets they offer. I was greatly disappointed, because with everything they have I look as if I wanted to march into war. For a proper motorbike that´s fine by me, but for a regular small scooter those things are just over the top.

So I did some research on the web, and luckily I found some nice things that meet my expectations: a short jacket that is armoured, but doesn´t look too bulky. Still, I want to look good in it, obviously. Quality also is key, of course.

I found two jackets that I like both, and I just can´t decide… The Corazzo Postale in black or khaki and the Tucano Urbano Reloaded. They both have their pros and cons – The Corazzo Postale is waterproof, has great reviews and back-protection, as well as a fleece-liner for cooler weather, and it seems to be done quite nicely. On the other hand, it´s more expensive and doesn´t seem to be the best choice in really hot weather, although the air-ventilation is supposed to be good.

The Reloaded is cheaper, but lacks proper armour. It´s very summer-friendly since its mesh-fabric, but then again it´s not waterproof (of course, you can´t have both), so it won´t last in those summer-showers that we have quite often here in Germany.

Have a look at them and tell me what you think, won´t you? (You can look at them by clicking on the links ;-) )
