Dunno if it's interesting, but there'll be a nudie cardholder soon (made of "dry" natural leather)...

will it be like the one you got with that wallet?

Dunno if that'll be enough for me cause it doesn't look like that thing can hold any cash.

With all the wallet and leather making going on over at SuFu has anyone here tried to make a plain billfold rather than a long wallet?

I'm running through some designs and really giving it serious thought, so if anyone's interested I'd probably keep a pretty good log of how I go about it.

Glenn: Which billfold? Louis Vuitton has some interesting wallets, it's a shame I can't afford any of them.

i have 9 cards and a bunch a bills in it and it holds it fine
if you are looking for a wallet of the smaller size, i would highly recommend it.

figured you guys might like to see this. This weekend I ran out of space on my scrap/dye test piece of leather, so I made a wallet out of it. It's not for everyone color wise, I know, but it was a nice change of pace. The concho is a real peso hand made into a concho by a gent in the midwest.

haha thanks guys! no...there's no blood on this piece, but there are tons of other marks. everything from dye to bottle marks, a bit of wax, pencil and sharpie sketches for wallets, tooling marks, i hammered bunch of rivets in on the leather as well~ it's really a cool piece. I would have kept it had I not just made myself a new wallet, but alas, it's off to a new home tomorrow.

    nice! looks good man.

new summertime wallet for me, another wallet made from scraps. 2 year old tanned leather with heavy waxed cotton inlay, from an interior design friend's sample box.

had a KC Laredo. the leather&craftmanship's nice and able to accommodate my crap, but the snap button kept hulking a hole through my back pocket__ shoulda gotten the mid-lenght Ranchero [w/c juts slightly out], instead. however, it'd still be too thick. these days i got a 2-fold biker's and a card holder in my other pocket to divvy up my stuff.

anyway, shiet looks unisex enuff that it might be what i'm looking for. FSC Barber NY @West Village might have it still. i'll check it out next week... oh! and tnx for the post.

Corter, love your work as always - the scrap 'colourfast' piece is great - it reminds me of some of the old hand-painted dior handbags!

Just wondering, how do you guys put up with such chunky wallets? I used to run a raw leather wallet, then I got sick of it being a huge lump?

Or do you run TWO wallets, one for 'casual' and one for 'everything else' ?

thanks! i use one wallet all the time. mine are never super super thick, maybe 3/4 of an inch. i just made that one a bit slim to use in the summer, as i don't carry a ton of stuff while traveling.
