The 18-200mm Canon isn't that impressive though (in terms of optical and build), well i would suggest EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 and the 70-200mm f/4L (but definitely they gonna cost much more). or you can try the 24-105mm f/4L. that's imo though. :-D and yea they all got the IS as well.
I'm actually looking into prime lenses. I got myself the 50mm f1.8. Possibly having a 35mm(or less) for more close-up applications would be good? I find myself backing up from the subjects a lot with my 50mm. I think two prime lenses and the kit lens would be good for what I use my camera for, and I might pick up a zoom lens later on. Is that a good idea? Practical? Also, did you look at the post I made about my uv filter? *edit* What do you think of the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5
they're fine imo, but why no 24-105mm f/4 L?? they're alot better. :-D anyway just took this pic today: really like this red phonebooth!:-D
@skip: yes... you'll need another wide angle lens, is it 35mm f1.4 or f2? better get the f1.4 @josuke: which camera do you use? i think the iso is too high for that kind of photo imo.
some pics from today's race. ride it fixed and no whining! enjoy! one of the main bridge in vancouver one of the main bridge in vancouver i forgot his name but i purposely stopped to take a shot of him. even girls participated in this event patiently waiting for their masters
What would you think of the max aperture being f4? Suitable for indoor shooting/low light conditions?
My "wife" used to live in Vancouver; she's French Canadian. I'm going to see if she recognizes these scenes.
