So yeah, here's the place to discuss all cycling related stuff like types of bikes, type riding you do, biking gear, accessories, bike nerding, etc...... As I realized there are a number of blokes here who are into biking, I think it's time to make such a thread.

ok, so a bike 'this or that' question:

trek remedy7 (not too stoked about the color)

    or

    santa cruz heckler
    [IMG]

obviously, if money wasn't an issue, this would be sitting in my garage right now:

the real question here is, do i have the cash...

anyone know if there's a possibility to get the remedy7 in another color?
or is it one color/model with trek?

i'd definitely get the remedy if money isnt a big issue. it only comes in 2 colors to what i know. either black or grey/black.

have you tried riding both bikes yet, tiro? some people are fussy about the weight and components. so ya know, you need to test them out first.

I can't wait to get off the rollers and get on the roads full-time. I ride a Bianchi C2C and plan on getting into century rides this season. I've also been looking for a fixed gear to use as transportation since I'm too paranoid to lock up my road bike.

would be nice if the remedy7 is available in all black, all grey, all white... something not too busy... like that remedy9...

i like the project88 and that last one, matter of fact, what is that last one?

you mean driver 8? the last one is devinci, a canadian company HQ-ed in quebec. if the driver 8 comes in a different color, i'd definitely get one...but not orange....

we are big boys with fancy toys, eh? haha...

nah i mean the devinci, looks similar to a heckler from design...
i like the devinci and project88 best, but the driver 8 is also nice, the other one is too curvy imho though ;-)

yeah color is an issue, the remedy colors also aren't all that imho...
you also not going for trek cause of the price huh?

hehe like they say, only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys

the trek i am interested in is nearly $7k before tax!!!! so yeah, i gotta think hard before purchasing one. but definitely is a great ride, man. trek is famous with making high quality road bikes, but now they have invented a superb downhill machine, especially the new 09 lines, your remedy and my session.

hopefully by the end of april i am able to sell my 3 years old FR rig and replace it with the trekkkk....
