As Atzec and I decided we will have a thread where only pictures will be posted. The goal of this thread is to create a repository for all interested people who doesn't want to look through pages and pages of comments.

Use this thread for all pictures showing your contest pairs e.g. pre-soak, post-soak, fit-pics, progress, activities in them etc.

All pics you post here should also be posted at the take5-forum: http://www.take5jeans.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=2541&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

So let's see pics and no chat!

while i was waiting for the ooe worldtour jeans to dry today, i decided to take some new presoak fit pics of my contest jeans.
think the fit is a bit different from when i first got them (lost a few kilos), but i still think these will be tight to begin with. i´m hoping for a perfect fit after stretching. :fingerscrossed:

and no worries, ed. i´ll crosspost once the contest starts...

now i´m into worldtour jeans again and those really feel like sweat pants after 5 minutes of cardboard denimes...

    Atzec signing up.

I don´t have a contest label, because I bought the jeans before it was announced, that we´d get one. Hope to get one added next time, when the jeans or me is in HK. Anyways, here´s the proof, that I got them from Take5:

...and now I´m soaking the jeans:

I chosed to soak in hot water and keep the waist dry. Later I´ll put them on and jump in the tub wearin the jeans to keep the waist from shrinking too much...

    Cheers,
    Atzec - Matt

    on to the fit pics:
Atzec's fit is way better but I hope mine will get better over time when the denim softens up or I do the 2nd soak.
    And the classic question...

    stack
    [IMG]

    or cuff?!

I tend to stack because I don't want my denim to break along the cuff-line.
    Lot# 666 would have been badass :-D

I posted at Take5 forum but somehow my thread disappeared...

    Forgot to post here.

    Checking in:

More proof stuff in the T5 thread here.

Took some new pre-soak fit pictures:

And measured the jeans (centimetres, BiG style):

    Code:
    waist : 82
    f. rise : 31
    b. rise : 39.5
    thigh : 64
    knee : 49
    hem : 45

And now is time for a good hot soak.

Credits to Atzec for the bottles tip ;-), never thought of that before.

A lot of starch came out, obviously:

Applied a small amount of oil on the patch:

Fit pictures (snug in the waist, relaxed everywhere else):

    Measurements (centimetres, BiG style):

    Code:
    waist : 80
    f. rise : 30.5
    b. rise : 38.5
    thigh : 60
    knee : 48
    hem : 44

Given the shrinkage ratios you guys got, I guess they're ripe for a second soak with more agitation.

    Seventh day in the Denimes.

This morning I found myself to have some time ahead and decided to follow the lead of several of our main contributors. I grabbed the camera and got in the boots for a small city tour (I was alone so not much denim follows, sorry for that).

This is Strasbourg, where I live.

It is the main city in far eastern France, located near the border with Germany.

A lot of people here speak Elsässisch, the local language. It sounds like poorly articulated German.

The steeple of the Notre-Dame cathedral peaks at 140+ metres.

It is made of pink sandstone from the hills nearby, like many buildings in the area. The main entrance façade is very impressive but as in a proper cathedral it faces West, thus was not lit by the sun yet.

The old centre is on an island between a river and its canal. There is a few houseboats where the two streams merge again, they are home for cafés/bars and a restaurant.

The only thing I miss living here is the sea. We've got imaginative people though.

The signs read 'Strasbourg Beach', '...without the beach'.

There is a shitload of churches, temples and 'chumples' in the area. The protestant presence among Roman catholics is much more significant than in the rest of the country.

Kids use to dive from this bridge during summer, although I doubt the cops are okay with that. Nobody today, I guess both weather and water aren't so warm these days...

The headquarters of Arte, a famous German-French culture TV channel. In France, it typically airs on channel number 5.

The city is home of the European Parliament (along with Brussels) and of the Council of Europe.

There is a lot of diplomatic plates around. For obvious reasons.

Before going back I went chilling to a park nearby.

The white stork is the emblem of the Alsace region.

I'll focus more on the denim next time but there's not much to see yet, I'm still waiting for the fit to settle because of the stiffness, especially in the lower legs area.

Hope you enjoyed the little tour!
