Anyone have actual waist measurements for a 30W or a 29W Sven? Thigh measurements would also help me out alot. If you measure from the crotch to the outseam.

    Sven vs Alf

Hey guys can anyone tell me if there is any significant difference between the regular alf and sven? I was looking at the nudie fit guide and the alf looks a lot baggier than the sven!

Also if I'm currently wearing a 29 for my SJD, should I also get a 29 for a Sven?

Well the Sven's are straight leg and the Ralfs/Alfs are a straight bootcut.

Svens have a lower rise, and a slimmer leg than the ralf. I would stick with a 29.

The reason the fitguide is sifferent, is because the ralf model sized up.

    hey guys

i got a pair of Svens in bright indigo i think they're called? Washed already, nice light colour.
They're 30w32, and looking to get a pair of RRDS's.
The 30 on me is fairly fitting round the waist, but i don't think i could go as far as saying they're tight. I wear a belt with em, but don't really need it. Fit great everywhere, but i wouldn't say tight around the waist, verging on it, but not quite.

Given the SS's i have are washed already, does that mean i'd head for 29's in the RRDS's, or just stay with the 30w32?

    cheers,
    daniel

If you want them to fit the same from new, get the 29's.

But, they will be tighter in the end after a wash, so you will just have to stretch them out again.

so you're saying 29's will fit the same as my SS Bright Indigo 30's, straight off the bat? Ie, putting them for the first time will be just like putting on the SS?
Is that because the RR's are a slightly higher rise meaning it's slightly narrower where the jeans actually sit?

One is raw, and the other is pre-wash. The 29 raw is roughly a 30 waist, and the pre-wash is true to size.

Even though the rise is different, you can make them sit on the same spot on your waist if you want to.

k, promise last question :D specifically if i should get 29x32's or maybe 34's as the 30x32 SS i have don't have a lot of room to play with length wise, and i'm a bit concerned about what the raw RR's will do once they eventually get a wash...

this is how the SS Bright Indigo's fit (30w 32)

    [IMG] - [IMG] - [IMG]

on the side shot, it seems to be that there isn't a huge amount of length to play with and just a touch concerned about shrinking after the first wash. (obviously in regards to the RRDS's i'm going to buy, not these :-D) i think i'm just on 6ft, or about 180cm's, i thnk

so yeah, would i still be ok with 29x32's judging from this side shot or should i go 29x34's

sorry for all the q's, but cheers for the help!! :-D

I would go a size up from ralf for a sven because the sven are quite low rise and very snug on the hips

Wear them with a belt and they won't stretch as much.
