I'll take better outdoor pics to show how they look like IRL. They surely smell like a grandpa's pomade mixed with sweat and cologne. I love it. Jeans for life!

haven't had the 106, but the denim will have similar behaviour since they're same 100 series. check the raw measurements on both. if the waist measurement on the size chart is the same & you don't have issues on thighs [ie, having large thighs], then imo TTS.

...or maybe TTS & warm soak below the crotch for 45mins just to get a bit of lenght shrinkage.

I sized up one for my 106 as I am planning to soak them in warm water to max shrinkage. meanwhile I am still waiting for them to arrive on my front door.

Afaik is the same denim as the 103. I hemmed my 103 to 34.5" and they shrunk till 32.5". I did a research before and the consensus is about 2" in that denim.

    Hiya Guys & Gals,

Well I've just ordered my first pair of SD's, 106 and they should be with me this week. I ordered a w 36 (not slim like most on here it seems!). Now, I've really done my research (or tried to), but I can't find a straightforward, definitive answer as to how best to care for these bad boys.

Now I know with dry, unsanforised denim, the general consensus is to wear the jeans for about 6 months before washing. I want these jeans to fade beautifully and naturally, with all the nice honeycombs and vintage fading etc.

My question is - how do I achieve this? Wear for 6 months without washing, then wash thereafter? What about cold soak? Or warm soak? Can I soak in plain water within the first 6 month period, then wash with detergent after 6 months? Oh, I should mention that I think these will fit me raw with just a bit of room, so shall I forget completely to ever wash them in the machine with detergent, as they may shrink too much (I don't mind shrinkage in the length, just not say 2 inches on the waist, unless they stretch back to tag size after wearing)?

I know, so many questions, but one of you experts will hopefully be able to explain the procedure!

    Many thanks in advance dudes!
