straight from Japan
i checked it out. is it sort of like ebay in jap? are u generous enough to list some good shops with resonable prices? thanks alot
rakuten is not like eBay. it's like a mall with many different shops. the prices are always the same except some shop has a sale.
is this a shop in rakuten?
vari, yes. j-e-a-n-s.net not.
but it doesn't matter if the shop is on rakuten or not as long as you can order, right?
dumb qs, how do u search vari?
here's the shop
If you can't manage to do it now, you aren't ready for it
whats the difference? both 103 but the measurement of 1st link is way off
w = washed
n = no-wash
oh ok many thanks..but wash as soak or in washin machine,,?
most likely machine wash
and a pretty severe wash at that, in my experience.
as for rakuten training-wheels, probably a better idea to go through the borderless portal instead of the open site, cause that way you'll only get to see the international options- and if you're having trouble with the normal rakuten, you should definitely not be trying on proxy services just yet. http://event.rakuten.co.jp/borderless/index_en.html
spend some time searching around and figuring out how it works- it may be disorienting but it isn't brain surgery. think of it more as a japanese amazon than ebay.
probably machine rinsed with 50 pairs at the same time, to get rid of most of the shrinkage
but why would they do that? just to get rid of the shrinkage so ppl know what size to pick? how is that gonna affecting fading then?
thanks this helped alot. I think i might just spend sometime doing the research atm. just curious, there is not jap webshop that sells jeans for lower than the retail price?
nope. you might get lucky and find a shop that's having a sale, but that's rare and usually a trivial amount (like 5% off). just be grateful that the japanese retailers are cheaper than the western middlemen.
and as for the wash, yeah, it's for shrinking, both to sell and as in-store demonstrators. not everybody wants to frig about with shrinking their own jeans, which can be an admittedly labourious process. as for fade effect, i'm sure it does, but i have no long term experience with any OWs, and obviously severity of the individual wash will play a big role.
Sooo.. finally. But it's not like you're in a hurry for new jeans, Tilmann. :mrgreen:
Measurements of SD-101 (15 oz denim), size 31, one hot soak (centimetres BiG-style, right?):
f. rise 29
b. rise 38
f. rise 29
b. rise 38

^yea, 101s got the roomiest thighs on the '47 cut i've had so far.
