    Any other brands that I should look into?
    I'm wanting to get a pair of skinny/slim raw denim that are more conservative-with stitching (e.g. no backpocket designs) and that are also not too expensive (sub $200). From some research it seems that the main brands that fit my criteria are N&F and APC for the higher-side of my budget priced at around $150-$200 or Unbranded and Uniqlo for the lower-side of my budget priced around $80. Are there any other brands that offer that minimal look?

    Selvedge = raw for N&F/Uniqlo?
    I also read that selvedge does not mean raw but I'm not sure which denim are raw and which ones are washed. The pairs of jeans marked as selvedge from N&F/Uniqlo are raw as well, right?

    I'm still researching but I'm mostly debating between N&F and APC for my first pair, depending on which one fits better.

    You've pretty much got it down I think, all of those brands you named are great minimalist selvedge denim. Can't go wrong with APC and Uniqlo in particular. And selvedge doesn't necessarily have to mean raw, but it almost always does. In this case it should.

    Left Field and 3Sixteen are slightly more expensive than APC or N&F, but much better IMO.
