Hola from South America! A small update from the land of the Incas... Im having a great time and trying to wear my skulls as much as possible. Its hard as it has been hot and humid most of the time. So far we have been to Mexico, Costa Rica and Peru. Leaving for Argentina tomorrow morning and going to spend New Years Eve there. As for the skulls they are fading great I think. Having lots of problems with the stitchings, but I brought a small sew-kit with me for quick repairs. They have been through a lot now and the most challenging part was the Inca-trail. They made it all the way though I will leave you with three pictures as a late Christmas present! First one is 3 months since the start, not everyday wear. Picture is taken in one of the biggest cloud forests of Costa Rica. (At a waterfall!!!) Second one is at Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas. Pretty nice ones I think ^_^ Late Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
I'll post my 2008 update soon, I just went to TAO last night and my skulls got fockin drenched in sweat and the backpocket stitching is coming apart. I'm loving it.
i'll put up month four updates sometime next week i think... it's VERY cold out right now and is supposed to be rainy until the weekend. the jeans have really begun to get interesting over the past couple of weeks.
I heard that the person who designed the skulls with 100% cotton stitching (reason why they deteriorate) did it because he likes the look of jeans which have been repaired over and over, and the original idea was that the Skull shops would repair them free. Just a thought. I like the idea tho.
going to do a light hand wash tonight after 4 months of almost every day wear, nothing serious though... i'll take some before and after pictures. before: (so it isn't exactly jan 1st... big deal)
here's the color after the first (light) wash with dr. bronner's. not too much of a difference, but i only just swished them around in the soap water for 5 minutes. color is very accurate, but my carpet is certainly more light brown than that, which is weird. i'll take the better outdoors pics in a couple of days when it isn't so cold and rainy.
every one! a happy new year!! Woooow, Blow-san! finally our skulls seems to reached to one of a world heritage. and we met unthinkable coincidence. We produced and released the music album of Mr. michiaki tanaka last November from our label. and there is a song called "Alturas de Macchu Picchu" in the album. it's happy coincidence for me have a wonderful experience!
