Skull 5010xx 6x6 fit pics (preferably raws)

wow Shinichi that site looks rather cool! i'm quite surprised that there's a site outside of the two forum threads about it. i need to take my fit pics soon, perhaps right at the beginning of the contest.

id love to get a pair of these but ive been wearing stretch jeans for far far too long. they look so great that i still might though.

it was pretty funny. my skulls are 1 sz too big, so i soaked it in 90c water and after 1 hr, the leather patch shrunk by 50%! holy moly! it wouldnt stretch back so i had to cut it out! just a heads up for whoever of thinking of hot soaking them! haha

 

hahaha wow. i actually ended up getting a pair but havent been home to claim them yet and was definetly going to soak them, although not that hot. was that water right out of a kettle? any pics of the patch? hahaha

 

yea it was water straight from a big pot i was boiling. it was hot but not boiling. picture the black patch shrinking to half the size and is super rigid. it even pulled the jeans area it was covering together! so had to cut out the patch to free the area. dam man, i dunno why it was like that.. didnt have any problems with my pbj and sammies! and shit i lost the stupid patch!

 

how much did the actually denim shrink? im hoping after destroying the patch u atleast got a good fit hahaha.

 

i kinda wore it a tad wet to see how much better it fit. well, it was better than before though but wished it shrunk more. i got to say that these skulls do stretch out like crazy! its really tight at first but after about a month they do really stretch out by at least 1 size or 2! well going to put that aside and concentrate on my pbj! i have to say i very much love the overall fit of the xx-005 instead! to each his own!

 

if you could compare the skulls to a nudie fit, which is the closest?

Even steven has larger thigh and a lower yoke than the skulls. The grim tim would be closest.

 

okay, quick question...

my true waist is a 33.

i wear a 31 in A.P.C. NS (should've gotten a 30), 32 in Levi's 514 slim, and a 32 in pre-distressed Edwin 53503 slim.

should i get a 33 in Skull 5010xx 6x6 raw? since the size chart according to FabFour says a raw 33 is equal to a 34, after a soak, it should go down to a 33, right? Kiya said i was right but i want to read the opinions of others.

 

33. You could probably fit a 32, but Kiya knows what he's talking about.

 

I'm not sure how those jeans you mentioned size up.

My skulls are sized up 2 from my RRDS and SSLE (both 30/32) but my skulls are a tad wider on the waist and slimmer on the legs ofcourse. I'm happy with the fit.

Good luck, since I remember I was confused a lot before ordering them..
In the end, it worked out. Hope you do the same.

btw, how much to these raw 5010xx 6x6 really shrink? i know they are sanfornized but people are telling me to still soak them because they will shrink. any thoughts?

fresh 5010 6x6 raw for xmas. these are my first japanese denim and all i gotta say is WOW. size 30 no hem. they were a lil tight on the hips but the waist fit fine taking into account they'll shrink a bit after a good soak (drying right now actually). also sorry about the quality and size of the pics in advance.
