    So I'm in the market for a skinny/slim fitting pair of high-quality denims for the new year.
    I was thinking about denim demon, but that's pretty much all I have seen in terms of fits that I like. I do lust after the quality and ruggedness of the jap brands, but my body style doesn't suit the repro cuts all that well.

    Any suggestions as to what else I could take into consideration?
    let me know.

    Greg.

    Kicking Mule Workshop Rockers...wanted these for a while...went to my local shop and sure shit they had them. I told myself no more denim for a year but couldnt resist. These are by far the best jeans I've been in contact with. Amazing quality, great fit list goes on. Zimbabwean (sp) cotton, selvage everywhere. Only thing I'd change though would be the size of the pack pockets, a little big.

    Get a pair of SEXSC. The fit is awesome and it's sugarcane denim from the 55 cut.

    I guess you googled them? Cause I haven't found any website of them. And it's hard to find good netpics.
    They are a subdivision of april77, less expensive and a bit less rock/punk. They have a rather loose waist, so that you can wear them low. They are very tapered though. And very stretchy and comfortable.

    If you're going for the style lildavid posted, I'd say you won't want to buy HB. Except his Julian Red, that's quite similar.
    And what exactly are your standards in quality denim? HB are rather stretchy, like the High Kai, but good denim. I just bought my second pair.

    I'm pretty confident that these dont compare to Julian Red and they do look like Cheap Monday. I guess that's why we dont carry them...

    I mean just have a look here: http://hells-bells-jeans.skyrock.com/

    sizing down on 811s would be your best bet, but im not sure if it would qualify as skinny or not. Flathead 3001 is pretty skinny to begin with, but the new arcs look awful if you dont mind blank backpockets.

    Pretty much your best choices have already been mentioned. Some don't like the super slubbyness of Pure Blue Japan, John Bull.. meh, you can get better quality for the price you'll pay.

    Ive heard KMW makes an excellent quality skinny cut. If you sized down on some Samurai 710s you could get a somewhat skinny look, its got a very strong taper.

    You could also simply size down on alot of slim straights to get a really slim look: SDA 103/003, Fullcount 1108.
