the first wash/soak will shrink the jeans by about 3% right? will the shrink be permanent or will it expand over time? thanks.

Hi folks, I've a question in the same direction. First of all, I am new to this raw denim thing and meanwhile, I am totally aware that there are much better raw denims than g-star. However, I got them cheap and I have two pairs which fit perfectly. I bought the new pair the same size (and fit) as my old prewashed pair. However, they are about 2 sizes to tall in the inseam and 3 sizes to long (after one day of wearing, I have soaked & dried them before). I really want to wear them without washing as long as possible without washing. What do you think of the idea to soak them again and put them into the dryer to shrink them.
    Many thanks for your help,
    Martin

Dryer seems to shrink jeans more than the washer....at least in my experience. Could be worth trying. Let us know how it goes.

i got a thin finn org dry twill, i wanted them to shrink a little maybe by 2-3%, so i understand that by hot soak them will shrink the jeans but will they get faded? i really love the indigo color..

don't worry about fading when it comes to soaks. they will fade regardless, they won't fit regardless.

They'll shrink more than 2-3% (twill!) while soaking/washing. See also here:
