Does anyone know if the Viberg short shifts are japan only?
picked up the red wing 877 last week, and my shoe addiction relapses..
thoughts on these burgundy grenson brogues?
quick question about how to condition rough-outs?
i'd like to strip the "dubbing" off, w/c it had for the past 2 winters.
i'd like to condition them w/o dubbing.
Bought a pair of these in brown mocha.Absolutely lovely boot.

out-of-the-box the leather looked parched & dull.
.... so i gave it a "lift". initially cleaned them w/Lexol leather cleaner, then 1st coat, Lexol conditioner
drying out after the 2nd coat, Sedgwick leather conditioner
2 days after treatment has sipped in & dry to touch. 'topped it off with a 3rd coat, Obenauf LP. i know some will disagee w/the conditioning overkill, but i thought i'd give it a feast before hitting the road. 'started out really dark, but they've lighten up quite a bit after 5days of wear.
