^ Those look awesome.
Finally, got around to get my 2nd pair of Viberg's to the cobbler replacing the additional full rubber sole with a thin half sole:
Might start breaking them in tomorrow.
both pairs are fab, FOXY!
SemiDress 5'" MTO: HorseHide x Bison toe caps & backstays :: Swing Last [_i know it's not for every1]:: Vibram composite half-soles + Quabaug block heels [1/4 lowered] ::
Very nice, digging it!
never heard about that brand "Roman Rock" but i thought they are great looking and big bang for the buck as well...so why the hell not ;-)
what do you guys think?...am i able to rock´em or aren´t they my style at all?
pic doesn't work
edit: well..Engineers are cool boots and they will work with you IH-S-Raw and to all your IH shirts...they aren't sporty though.
you really wanna shell out that amount of money for Vibergs although you're not sure if you'll like 'em? Mhh..at least you are miy size and I can grab them for cheap then ;-)
true that...but since i´m planing on doing my motorcycle license in a few months, i think those could be my "ride to" boots
Pics don't work for me...
Which Viberg's are you 'eyeing'? The new last probably...
Let me know what price you are getting told to pay before you actually do it - customs is going to add quite a bit.
okay so it´s actually this pair (engineer boot, 9", merlot cxl)...
just with this shape of the toe-box:
from the financial point of view your plan is rather...well...not thought through ;-)
What does a bike license costs these days? And then buy 500+ € boots to trash them? If you are comfortably circumstanced like Kaj, I would say "do it!"
But I don't think those Vibergs will last way longer than a pair of Chippewas or Red Wing if are hard on them and use them on your bike.
you´re definitely right about that T. and i´ll let you know how things went, as soon as i know
at first there is a one week vacation at the Nordsee though
I have to agree with T. on the financial review of the situation.
now, having said that I have to point out that my wife loves her engineer boots!
If you don't mind scratches stay with cxl, otherwise consider water buffalo.
Before you actually order please let me know what you intend to pay (probably including customs) at what delivery time and would pay through HK if we hand-carry them...
nevermind guys...i was talking about an ebay-auction (that i´ve just lost!)...those are the boots that volls.de has for sale in their store (soon in the webshop as well!)...699€ retail and those sold used for 310€ just a few minutes ago...
got bit out by a god damn auto-bid programm i guess, since i was leading until 1sec. before the auction ended, so yeah...sucks, but that´s life i guess!...
ahh....what a bargain! sorry to hear that.....:icon_frown:
Is always sad to lose an auction, too bad for you mate.
Which model and size were you after?
Got a pair of Dr Martens 1460 Black Smooth the other day at HALF price. Thats about 70€.
Been walking around in them for a few days now. Really dont know what people are talking about when they say they're uncomfortable, I have no sign of blisters yet..
Looking forward to wearing them really hard and really breaking them and the leather in. These are my first boots and I will wear them until I save up enough money to buy a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers.. Or maybe a pair of Beckmans..
Contemplating these for winter, Diemme Roccias:
actually a pair of viberg engineer boots as posted in my post above!
