I might send an email to WWII Impressions and ask them about it. Really, from the pics and the review, you can see that quality is not significantly less than BR, Mash, etc. at least nothing obvious. Anyhow, i would use sno-seal on them, so better use a cheaper pair;-)

that's what I did too. I think the MASH, BR ones are too nice to dub them. WWII Impressions...do look nice. Someone from Sufu send me some pics. If Sufu wasn't down I would send them to you!

Can anyone help me out? Does anyone know of any other boots with a toe-cap that have a similar profile as these boots?

Also, can you guys shoot me some ideas of some nice engineer boots I should look into? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, most boots suited to snow and ice (especially cheap ones) tend to be ugly as hell; can't really find a pair to recommend.

If you ask me though, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've survived pretty much my entire life in the northeast without a single pair of winter boots... even my RW213 that I got a little while ago - with a neoprene sole - worked fine for that snow we had back in October.
