i was wondering if anyone knew when nudie would be releasing even stevens in dry selvedge? I'm debating whether to buy a pair now, but if the ds will be out soon then i will wait.. btw does anyone know if the masa will be available in australia? cheers
i'm pretty sure this has been answered in this thread already, or definitely one of the original ES threads but like you, i'm too lazy to look for it. they said not this season but they haven't ruled it out.
I'm not sure where they are in stores, but there was one on e-bay just a little bit ago. There was a thread on it as well.
i would say wait for the masa. ALthough the ES denim is quite thick and rigid already. I think i just prefer the aesthetics of having selvedge
yea fair enuf, the denim on es is indeed quite rigid, more so than my jims. they almost stand up on there own lol. Maybe i'll give the nudie store in Sydney a call sometime and see when the masa is due.
rang nudie in sydney couple o days back. they'll be getting the Masa in wit their next shipment (April) as well as the other new styles i think.
that's just overdoing it imho, I saw a japanese jeans (Takumi) that have outside pockets selvedge on the coin pocket and selvedge arcuates... I dunno, that's just too much imho, selvedge should only be where it is supposed to be...
ppl in aus, price of masa here is 485, prob cheaper to order it online -_-" I'll probably go check them out next week, tho i can't afford them i will post back here if they're any good
I kinda like the selvage coin pocket. Belt hoops well I wouldn't care too much for them but if that ups the price on them, then I'd definitely be against them. I'd like to check out a pair of Masa's as well.
I was just asking our Nudie rep today when our Masas will arrive. Production on these has been slow due to the 100% Japanese production. They will retail for $375 on my webstore and will be in soon: www.contextclothing.com The belt loops are longer than the RRDS. Each Masa comes in a special Masa box. The box looks like a black chalkboard with the phrase "Made In Japan" written on it and a Japanese Rising Sun. The Japanese Flag is also stitched into the inside back waist band of each pair. The denim is slubbier than the RRDS, but not slubbie like Pure Blue Japans. These are a limited production jean and, from what I've been told, will only be available for one season. You may preorder these jeans from CONTEXT, but you'll have to call the store or email us. I took the liberty of reserving one 29/32 for myself-- perks of the position. Sorry, but the coupon codes will not apply to the Masa. Thanks to all of you who have supported us thus far. 608 250 0113 support@contextclothing.com
