Red wings are cool!
Just love them!
I'm a BIG guy...
How are you Naoto?
Fine, thanks! Been a bit snow under recently.
My 875 are size UK6/Euro39 & the width is "D"
I bought mine from eBay as "factory outlet" (there is tiny stitch blemish, that's all), but they were only $49.99 so I just couldn't resist to buy!
That's an excellent price for an excellent pair of boots!!congratz..
But I had to pay $38.99 for the shipping from the US to the UK though. Having said that, it was still cheaper than buying a pair in the UK. I was gobsmacked when I saw the price of 875 at Sherry's in London. In fact more expensive than buying in Japan!
I also bought a pair of RW's motorcyclist boots from eBay. They were new in the box and were also $50.00 (+P&P). These RW's boots are working hard in winter.
not that big... I'm guessing that's about a 44-45? I would need atleast one, maybe two sizes bigger... (US12 in sneakers)
i think they are too expensive here in the netherlands.
But i can fit them here and order from ebay
I also owm a pair of red wings! but they hurt my feet so much that I can't wear them normally
these are the ones i want
wait, so what's the sizing like on red wings? i wear a 9.5 in most slip ons... if that helps.
I picked up a pair of 1906's at my local RW store. They were on a shelf of discontinued styles (now only sold in EU and Japan?). I thought they might be 'seconds' since the leather had some blemishes but the manager assured me they weren't. He said they were discontinued in the US and had just been sitting around for a long time. Even marked down they weren't cheap. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with them.
sorry to repeat myself but my post was at the bottom of page 2 so i thought most people would miss it :F
what is the sizing like for red wing boots? i'm not sure if this is quite relevant, but my size in vans slip ons are 9.5
Those 1906 look like a slimmer version of the 877. Can't remember if the 877 came with that rear loop.
Nice boots bobbejaan. Looks like RW euro edition. Looks a lot like the White's semi-dress (they do come in black, but everyone orders them in brown)
Most redwings run true to size (for US sizes). I wear a Vans Slip on in 9.5 and 875 in 9E. Of course my feet are wider than normal.
+1. I'm a size 12 in Red Wings and in all my (US) running shoes. Dress shoes are a different story for me though as I have shoes in size 11 E and 11.5 E.
An afternoon of research. . .
I think the 1906 and the 877 (pictured) are pretty similar. Below is a link to a page describing the details of the first RW Centennial model, the 1905. I know that a 1906 and 1907 were also made.
The 1905 and 1907 are similar models (6") just with different leather. The 1906 is the higher model (8") with the leather used for the 1905.
RW Japan (link below) has the best collection of pics of the RW Centennial models. I'm pretty sure none are available in the US and only a few are available in EU. Prices are exorbitant though. . .
My Red Wings are size 9,5 D and in slip-ons and cons i also wear 9,5.
In all other sneakers i mostly wear a size 10 or 10,5 and dress shoes usually between 9,5 and even 8,5 depending on the brand.
Hope this helps a bit.
On The Spur Of The Moment (Red Wing 8180)
Hooray! I won these RW 8180 at eBay a few weeks ago and I've just received them!
Thank god, I could save a lot of money, in lieu of paying the RRP.
Those look great! I can't tell from the pic, what color are they (on my monitor they look either dark green or black)?
Very nice Naoto! Congrats!
