why do they rip like that in the first place
i just washed my nudies...
should i attempt to reinforce the crotch area? its just slighty ripped...
I'm a great advocate of leaving damages on jeans unrepaired (see thread "Wearing them ripped")...with that one exception, crotch holes. The earlier you attend to them, the better and easier it is.
^^ Prevention is better than cure .
totally, will do, once i receive the repair kit from nudie ...lolz.....
I repaired and reinforced my Finns crotch
Here is a picture of the result:
It was a learning experience for me and it took a while to complete but I am quite happy with the finished outcome. jeans feel more personal when you repair them yourself.
I prefer to patch the crotch and whole seat together with 2 patches, resulting in a very reinforced piece of jeans. For the repair job I use mostly denim, in the same colour as the jeans, or in a darker colour (is more striking). Those repaired jeans will last forever (I got several 501´s that I repaired more than 10 years ago and are still wearable, never throw away any of my ´lovers´).
ive been using my finn for almost 3 years. the crotch has been ripped 3 times, so i put the other sides with more patches, preventions are always better than cure!
i think my tailor did a really good job since theyre specializing in fixing jeans and crotch holes haha.
I totally agree with you: I made my old jeans always personal by repairing it by myself, or sometimes by my Turkish tailor, when I am too lazy to do it myself. The repairjob looks good.
Well done, it looks great. Hardly visible from outside and strongly reinforced crotch. Compliments to your tailor and keep on wearing and reparing your jeans for ever and ever, like me.
thanks a lot yeah man, i dont throw my lovelies haha. i tried to spread the word to everyone, that strongly suggest to repair their crotch holes instead, cuz i know some people wearing them for 6 months and then throw then cuz theres crotch holes, some people had no idea how to take care of them and no idea where to fix it.... and say nudies has shitty quality.
My bike and my Nudies just wont like eachother.. I have stitched these myself 4 times now.. Sadly they just keep ripping again and again..
This time a lot worse than before! Any ideas on what i should do??
edit. if you feel molested by the picture - i am truly sorry
you need a patch man!
i have the repairkit - im just not very good at sewing xD
might have to use one of my other finn's until i get someone to fix these..
Nudie informed me that there is a repair shop here in Copenhagen.
So i took my Finns there on friday, and they were ready for pickup saturday afternoon!
