you can never tell such things in general. Anyway, it's most of all SJ that are rumored to get easy croth rips (haven't heard such stories of the BBs). As always, that depends on your fit and lifestyle. So don't bother

    Slim Jim

Today I noticed that the thread in the crotch has broken om my Jims.
Should I fix it immediately b4 any more wear or can I still wear them without risking a major crotch rip?

Why risk it? That's a pretty easy fix.

    Major crotch repairs

My Nudie's have been through a lot...
I don't think tailor's like me.. But **** yeah leather patches.

It's gotten so bad that on my black ones (even though they've been reinforced) I've started ripping through the solid stitching

Those are some extreme rips :-? Which cuts and how long did it take to get all that damage?

Black = Thin Finns, about 2 and a half years
Blue = Grim Tims, about a year

Those are the only jeans I've owned in that time so they've taken a beating.

It's the result of not repairing smaller holes quick enough, my black ones eventually tore from the back pocket to half way up the fly.

    Still alive though!

i like the natural leather patches, however i would have put them behind the whole,
    its pretty dramatic up front

All my Nudies ripped so far, long before i got the desired fade...
SJ dry Japan are the worst, though they fade easy (if you hold them up to a lightsource, you can see thru!!)
RRDS -> cuffed them and of course... the bottoms completely gave out, even honeycombs started to tear...

Also i get holes right beneath my wallet from the jeans sagging and rubbing together : RRDS RRDS ans SJDJ :)
