:?: What is the best tight fitting Jeans.. ?? Slim Jim or Levi's 511 ?

    I recently bought a Levi's 511 (size 30) and I already had 3 Slim Jims (2 washed natural indgo embo and 1 dry-grey-cast) so I could compare.

Well, I must say that, if the Slim Jim are definititely tighter all over the lower thighs and legs, with narrower bottom openings, I must say the 511 fits much nicer and much tighter in the upper part: around my butt and crotch and upper thighs. In short, I think that the look achieved wearing a pair of 511 may be considered "hotter" and "sexier" than with Slim Jims... And the 511 (kind of dry "blue-black"finish") also quicky gets a nice patina over the butts and other friction zones, when worn everyday.

I must admit that, before my 511, I haven't bought any Levi's since a few years..but the 511 may bring me back to the good old brand !

Than will not prevent me to continue wearing my NUDIES SlimJims, and one Thin Finn.

I bought one of these too a couple of months ago and I really like the colour and shine of the raw black denim (I think it's called "rigid black"). But unlike Patrick I haven't seen much fading after some 30 days of wear. When it comes to the superiority of the fit over a Slim Jim I have to protest, at least I can't see much of a difference.

Of course, black denim could be seen as more rock'n'roll in itself and the 511 has definitely a higher Joey Ramone-factor compared to my Slim Jims. But I guess that could be easily remedied with a Slim Jim Dry Black, if only I could find one here in Stockholm.

    Why Not ?

 Why shall I not use large blue fonts ??? Here are three reasons why I like them.

1- Large, because it is easiest to read and less tiring for the eyes.

2 - Blue, beause I just like blue.. and, furthermore, for a site devoted to DENIM, I think that blue is really the most appropriate color. And it's esthetically more pleasant than black.

3- It is my absolute freedom and right to use whatever font I like

By the way, I really do HATE Censors, Moralists ad all the like

    Is that Clear !

maybe they're jealous of your avatars equipment. I won't drag up old Freud again, but size does matter. And you know what they say: big font - small.........

Re: Why Not? This is why!

If letters are too small for you, you can up-size them with you browser. The question is if you want to have bigger letters than those which the other people use. Big letters is a question of your screen and your browser, not your magnanimity. :p

Blue is nice as a color, of course. It's also very good to be individual. I might think that it's kinda compromise if the comunity allows you to use blue letters in normal size and with a regular font.

No, because this forum is open for everyone. You don't have the right to pee whereever you want to :) , and so you don't have the right to use whatever font you like. :!:

So do we. But that's not the point. It's just to be fair. Otherwise it could turn out like the Cold War in the seventies and eighties. Everyone tries to use even bigger fonts than the others use, and in the end we'll habe reach size 300pt. The font-overkill. Only one visible letter on the sceren. Then reading will be a nuclear nuisance.

    :D

    Let's stay happy.

(Sorry I missed the topic again. I'm very shameful. So I use a small font to indicate my shame.)

I have about 20 pairs of jeans and they are all levis (slim fitting different finishes). I love them. I wouldn't wear anything else. I have 511, 514, 508. nice butt. size 31 x 32. I have worn them all my life. I don't own a 505 or 501 but someday may add them. I like the back belt loop close to the top of the back pocket to give the cute butt look. no high waist band. snug fit. I am in the United States. I also love seeing levis on other guys too. must be 32 or smaller waist to interest me.
