    Hello,

i am from Austria and i love Jeans. I usually wear a Levi's 511 in 33/34 but i think i should get some pair of Nudie jeans.

Now i have a problem, i am unsure what pair to get.

    I am 6,2 (189cm) at 175lbs (80kg).

I Thought about a Slim Jim or a Thin Finn, i want one without any wash of course.

Maybe you can give me some advice what pair of Nudies is the best to start? Should i buy the jeans a size lower? The Levi's in 33/34 fits well WORN. So a new 33/34 is TIGHT.

Thanks for the Tipps, and best wishes, AMEG

Hi and welcome. I am 1,87m and (was when I wore nudies 77 kg). So we should be built pretty much the same. I started with Average Joes and Slim Jims. Even if my preferences have changed since then, the SJ and AJ are golden cuts, in between slim (but not skinny) and straight (but not loose) with a medium and bearable rise. But there is only the SJ Dry Broken Twill as dry model ATM and this is a very hard fading jeans.

If you're in for a more classic cut, those are your options and maybe the Grim Tim if you want to go for a selvage model with slim legs. Finns have a low yoke and look best when worn a little sagged. But IMO tall guys like you can't pull that fit as good as smaller skinny guys (see all the indo guys).

As for the sizing: Nudies run often bigger than tagged - I could wear a 31-32 in some, that measured 33-34 inches. Best advice is to measure your best fitting jeans and compare to the size charts in the nudie webstore. Do that as homework and maybe write us in the german thread. Should be much easier.

But as you wanted a real advice: I personally would get AJ Dry Brown Selvage or Grim Tim Dry Dirt Organic in 32/33-36 . These are the most appealing nudies to me ATM. Keep in mind, that your passion for denim might want you to get a pair of selvage denim pretty soon, so maybe just get one right from the start. Hope this helps.

I'm not a tall guy but I agree with MP that Thin Finn does not look so good on tall guys. I'll keep saying it: Slim Jim is the best Nudie cut ever made, regardless of your build. Good luck and welcome to MyNudies!! :)

    Hi ameg
Slim Jim is a great classic straight cut but if you like the Levis 311 I would say, go for the Grim Tim. They are like Slim Jim but with a tapered leg opening.
Personally I'm more into a skinny fit (like TLJ) at the moment, but I still like my Grim Tim, especially when it is cold (better isolation).
I have no experience with the Dry Dirt Organic but i expect you can down size 1 with respect to the Levis 311 (so W32) if you like a slim fit, and try L36 for more stacking with some great fading after a while. I'm quit sure you have the length for it.

Unfortunately i cant wear the jeans before buying them. My local shops doesn't have nudie jeans.

I guess Slim Jim is the way to go for me. I like the Fit from the Nudie fitguide.

I will order 33/34 since i have actually 33-34/34 and the Jeans will wide a bit. Am i right here?

I think Sharp Bengt would also work for you.

I'm very happy with my pair. Worth pointing out that I sized 1 down from my normal Nudie size.

I orderd now two Slim Jims in 32/34 and 33/34. If both doesn't fit well, i will send them back and try to get Thinn Finns or other models. Since its free to send back i can try a bit around!

Good call. Keep in mind, that the dry models will at least stretch around 1". What model did you choose and did you order at cultizm?

You can, if you want to get rid of starch for a softer feeling. But you don't need to, as they are sanforized they are pre-shrunk and ready to go. I wouldn't soak, as the starch helps define creases and fades. But that's up to you. Keep in mind, that dry broken twill is already pretty soft (as I wrote above).
