Has anybody actually bought a pair of 32oz Naked and Famous?

I'm fascinated to know how they wear and fade - of they softened and were wearable they'd be amazing for winter and last forever?

    Or Eight -G 30oz??

All those years I wasted on destroyed $300 fashion jeans that disintegrate in a few weeks.

A couple of years ago I took back a pair of $450 jeans that ripped to shreds on the first wash (!!!) - I was a regular client so they exchanged for a black leather biker jacket- which I wear every day!

Lost the plot : does anybody OWN the 32oz - pics???

I got these, a curiosity/oddity item. Typical for those somewhat quirky guys at N&F.

The coating gives them an almost leathery feel on the outer surface, while insides theres this greyish denim. I tried a close-up on the fabric, but that did'nt turn out. They were solely available at Barney's New York, I mailordered them and to avoid another problem with those bastards from customs, had them delivered by a travelling friend of a friend, so they had to wait a couple months to be tried on. Big sigh. Since they are the skinny fit, I already got them in W 32, one to two sizes up my usual. Still can't get them closed. Will try though.....

On the other hand, if some reader should be making a really tempting offer, I just might also sell them, have to think about it and give them a chance first.

Those are outrageous, and I am jealous! You're a lucky man. Such imagination in raw denim I haven't seen since the Straight Sven dry copper.

Do post some pics once you've worn them a bit.

    "Reverse Fade"... WOW!

    That sounds very interesting!
I'd not wear white jeans, but would really want to see evolution pics.

If I get it right, the white doesn't come from undyed cotton, but from the coating?

They realy look interesting. There once was a Slim Jim with the same intention. Would love to see the evolution of these.

Well, when I read about them I reacted similarly to you guys, I was fascinated by the concept. It was quite a deal to obtain them, phone calls to New York, finding the right person at Barney's to deal with this, and several mails, the matter made more complicated by the fact I wanted them delivered to a Brooklyn address, not to mine in Berlin. Barney's made quite an act out of selling to someone foreign they did not have an account with yet.

Thus I am rather pissed off that they are so freaking tight, I did not anticipate that with a 32 waist. I will definitely have to undergo a sort of springtime diet before I can seriously attempt wearing them.

The denim is indeed dark, rather greyish. I have to try making some more pics...
They are more of an off-white, with some dark pigments showing through the coating. I've described the feel of the -rather thick- coating as leather-like, having examined them a little further since, I'd say more rubber-like perhaps.

I'll leave the flasher and other paper work on, since I really might have to sell them eventually...I'd hate that, but one has to face realities. Anticipate a decision on that towards mid-2012, after I've had a chance to lose some of my winter weight.

Thanks for all your interest and kudos.

Trust Samcam to show true British coolness. Really like the fit and the whole look. Can only be beaten by a hard-worn heavy faded pair!

I have a pair of skinny guys I got for Christmas, I wore the skiing yesterday and had them tucked into my boots. It left some pretty ugly creases around the ankles, will these creases work themselves out and back to normal or is there anything I can do ?

Just creases? yeah they'll go back to normal. I always wear jeans under my snow pants and I tuck them into my boots as well.

I am so jealous - they look AMAZING on you !!!!
You have the perfect hunky body to carry off heavyweight jeans and once they've softened they'll be your favourite jeans.
    Great buy!!!
