Shiny Black is a pre-wash, the DBC is dry and becomes shiny over time.

Nah mine is wide. but its no probs, I have like 4 different kinds of tags in my various Nudie jeans. Its mostly related to how old they are. And all my nudies are legit - theyre all purchased from the flagship store in Stockholm

Why won't it let me create a new thread?

Anyway, I'll try and ask my question here:

I'm interested in buying a pair of Nudies but am curious about the fit. I normally wear Levis (511 and 519) and was wondering how the Tight Long John; Tube Kelly and Thin Finns compare to the Levis 511? are they noticeably slimmer? about the same fit? etc.

I'm going to try them on but the nearest retailer to me is a bit of a trek away so was wondering if you could shed some light until I make the effort to try them on in person. Any help would be appreciated cheers.

if you want a fit like the 511's then get grim tims. tight long john and tube kelly fit like the 510's. the thin finns is the fit in between

    Thanks for that.

I'm going to try them on tomorrow and see how they look; wouldn't mind trying a slimmer fitting jeans - I have pretty skinny legs so I they might look okay (although I would say I'm thin more than emaciated skinny). The thin fiinns sounds like a winner.

I second Earl, Finns are definitely the way to go.

And since you were wondering, you can only create threads on the "New Members" board until you hit 20 posts. Just thought I'd let you know. :)

Went and bought / tried out some Nudies today and listened to what you all said. Here's what I thought:

    Tube Kellys

Liked the fit but they were a boot cut, which is not what I want at all.

    Thin Finns

Very disappointed with these: didn't like them at all. The back pockets dipped too much and I found they bagged too much in general on the behind, and to top it all off they were a straight cut! In my humble opinion, the Thin Finns are much, much inferior version of the Levis 519 (I like the 519 very much - very good jeans).

    Tight Long John

Very impressed with these - nice snug fit that gently caressed the leg rather than bear hugging them; the fit looks smart (I only wear boots and shoes so nice tight jeans that taper look smart ! ) - and they taper, which is what I like. Very pleased with my purchase - in my opinion they're much better than any Levis I've worn.

So all in all, very impressed and very happy. It's a shame the Tube Kelly is a boot cut (god knows why you'd want a boot cut on skinny jeans !? ) but I suppose a tailor could sort that out.

What are the Nudie Kais like?

hey shane! yea man tight long johns are my favortie too! i like the thin finns cut but the i also dislike the low yoke/backpockets. The tube kellys are not boot cut they are just like the long johns but with a slightly biger opening. Maybe you tried on boot starcy? High kai are the same with long johns in tightness but they have a higher waist.

I'm pretty sure they were the Tube Kelly's - to be honest, I'm so used to tapered jeans that I'd probably cast off a normal straight cut as a boot cut! I normally wear boots and shoes so I don't really like the jeans enveloping my shoes / boots.

Those Kai's sound pretty good if they sit higher on the waste.

High Kais are a lot tighter than Long Johns IMO. It fits really really snug on the legs, where as the taper on the Long Johns aren't as strong. I own both so I'm just talking from what I've tried.

Damn, you must be really skinny if Finns fit like a straight leg...

Whatever works I guess. Just be glad you had the chance to try em on :)

My Long Johns are copping a beating atm :D

I went to the beach the other day, rubbed wet sand all over it, went camping in them and I'm about to go for a 2 hour bike ride with them on. Will post pictures in the next couple of days.
