Hey guys i was wondering if anyone can help me...I have 4 thin finns so far: Dry Black Coated, super used grey, org. strikey punk, and a Dry Org. Ecru Embo. They are all size 28/32 (more on that below), and I wanna get 1 more. I was thinking either Organic Dry Twill or Dry Flat Selvage. Since all of my other nudies are 98% cotton 2% elastane, will I feel a difference with a 100% cotton of the dry flat selvage? What is the difference in look between those two, other than the back pocket color? Am i right to assume that the Twill is a bit darker? Does the actual fabric feels different?

BTW, this is what the 28/32 dry ecru embo looks on me, should I keep buying TF's at 28/32 or raise a number? (sorry for the bad pics)

    Thanks!

Thanks man! Still, for my next dry, im thinking about changing the fit a bit...But first i need help deciding between TF DS, TF dry flat selvage or org dry twill... It seems from what I read that most people prefer the dry stretch for the good fading it gets, but id like more info on their fits, fabric, and color before making up my mind. Not sure if I should size up or down for my next one, i want it to look a bit different too...

hey guys I have a TFODEE and im looking to buy TFDS and I am confused on what size i should get. I have a 30x32 TFODEE but its a new version which has 2% stretch in them and i heard that the TFODEE runs smaller that TFDS and is that true or are they same as the TFDS. Im also thinking about sizing down by 1 or 2 because the TFODEE is kind of baggy on me and my true waist size is 30. So should i get a 28 or 29 for TFDS.

TFODEE is supposed to run smaller than TFDS. My true waist size is also 30 and my TFDS in size 29 is perfect, just a bit tight a first. I've been wearing them for about 3 weeks and they're still nice and snug, don't need a belt or anything. I think if you size down two it'll be too tight.

Yeah sure, I weigh about 145 pounds and my height is 5'10". Err soo..I think that would be about 66kg and 178cm? I believe the waist measurement laying flat of my size 29's (before any stretching) was about 14.5", somewhere near that. Hope I helped.

It's no problem, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of me wearing them, sorry. They fit quite slim on me, not too tight. You might have skinnier legs than me though.

are the SJ also dry? Prewashed models run about 1" smaller than dry ones, so if your SJ is a prewash, you could take the risk. Otherwise I wouldn't dare.

no they are SJDB, the finn probably wont stretch as well either considering my jims are only 98% cotton. I guess its for the best, I don't have an extra $120 to be throwing away on jeans.

p.s. thanks for the quick reply

I have a pair of TF dry organic twill that fit relatively well, the thighs however are a little tight. From the Nudie site it says that these jeans become more elastic after their first wash, if I soaked these would they become more elastic and would the thighs would stretch? Also, if I soaked would I lose too much indigo?

If you don't soak too warm, the denim will soften and be easier for you to stretch, and don't worry, you shouldn't lose much indigo at all. Just make sure it doesn't get agitated when it's being soaked. At most you'll only be rid of loose indigo and some starch (thus making your denim less stiff).

But honestly if you wear it constantly for about a week or two (provided you don't just sit on your couch), your denim will stretch out around that area, I can guarantee.

Thanks for the advice starscream. I went ahead and soaked them, and they didnt really feel any different. I tried doing squats and putting socks in the thighs while wearing them in my house to see if any slight amount of stretch would occur, but to no avail. Plus, I had already worn these for about 2 months with no stretch before the soak. I think I am going to give up on these and try to sell them if anyone is interested. I will be looking at a new pair of thin finns, probably ecru organic or dry stretch, any advice on how I should size on those? I am a true waist 30.5-31, and wear a 29-30 skinny guy, and 28 Petit standard, and am looking for a similar fit to those. A 29 waist in thin finn was too small, should I go 30 or even 31?
