It is the space between the bottom of the waistband, and the top of the back pocket. Since finns are a low yoke, the distance between waistband and back pocket is greater than other jeans.

how much do TFDS stretch? i'm planning on wearing them 5x a week for months.

i'm debating between buying 32 or 33 waist, the 32 is pretty snug, but if it stretches out closer to the 33 waist, then that'll be great.

also after washing, does it shrink a lot? i'm concerned that it'll be super tight after my 1st wash, which leads me to want to get the 33.

    Tight like a 5-yearold

Speaking out of own expeciences- I got a pair of 28/34 TFDS for the W&T competition when I should have gotten a pair of 29's (they weren't in stock and I had to start the comp). It was a mistake. They were and still are damn tight - when I sit down I loose blood flow to my legs. It has even gone to the extent that I've inserted another button just next to my original waist button which makes them hella lot more comfy. But still, I don't have enough fabric on my thighs. However should be mentioned that I won the WT with them :>>

To conclude: a bit too baggy can besolved with a soak and a belt. A bit too tight is not as easily fixed. My rule of thumb from now on is: Uncomfortable the first weeks but never painful.

Hi, my first post. I am thinking of buying some Thin Finn BDC, I love the slightly shiney look they have. But I'm a bit worried I'm too big for them, and will look stupid: so my question is do you guys think a 36" is too big for TFDBC?

Hello. TFDBK are awesome, tried some on the other day and they feel great and look great, I look forward to receiving the mail order.

Thinn Finn is great for me - I'm skinny and I don't have that much of an ass. If one is not perhaps the fit won't be as great. On the other hand you can wear some of their other jeans models better.

However I'm sure you could pull them off I mean I've never seen a person wear Finns with a 36 waist. And it should be mentioned that the Thinn Finn is available in 36/32 and 36/34 on Nudiejeans.com which might indicate something :>>

    size comparison

hey guy, i currently own a pair of TFDOEE in 30x32 and am looking to purchase a pair of TFDS but am confused as to what size to get, as i tried on a pair of TFDS in 30x32 and they seemed a lot looser than my TFDOEE. Would a pair of 28x32 TFDS fit more like my current pair of 30x32 TFDOEE? Cheers

    Levis 511 Skinny Comparison

    Hey guys,

I've never bought a pair of raw denim before but I think I have my heart set on Nudies. From what I understand, the Thin Finn style would be the most similar to Levi's 511 Skinny style, right? If anyone is familiar with Levi's sizing, how does it compare to Nudies? (I wear a 34/30 for the Levi's)

    Thanks!

@henri: If TFDS are less tight than your TFODEE pre-stretch then they won't fit that good at all. If your TFODEE is skin tight you should consider the 28 but if you want to be cool you should get 29. All cool guys wear 29.

@nudierudie: They do, as the names suggests, not have the same fabric. The DDO is very dark at first but breaks in pretty awesome after not that much wear. The fabric in TFDS is slightly lighter (GTDDO is 11.75 compared to TFDS 11.0) and it contains stretch (--> different fading results). If you're buying a pair of TFDS do keep the stretching in mind when you choose size.
I'd say the DDO is darker than the DS when you first get them. As for postwash I don't really know the color differences.

    hey guys.

Looking at picking up a pair of TFDS in either 30x34 or 31x34, just a little unsure on sizing.

Basically I'm looking for a waist that will end up as about a true 32 eventually, as that's pretty much my measured size.

    http://www.contextclothing.com/item.php?id=890
This link here lists the tagged size as one down from the measured waist, AND mentions to account for 1" stretch.
This has me confused if I'll need a 30 or 31

If I were to buy a pair of Slim Jims today, I'd be a 31.

    I'm 6ft, 160lbs if that helps.

    Any advice?

    Thanks guys I appreciate it.

I always wore a 32 waist in jeans before I got my TFDS. I have 30x34 but wish I'd gone with 31 instead. The waist stretched out and feels fine, but they're not as flexible as I would like (can't kick/climb as comfortably as in my super-stretchy Levis 510).
