then you should soak them in hot water, soaking in cold water only means starch loss... they don't shrink in cold water

Someone told me that cold soaks should be done for 2-3h, and then i realized cold soak doesnt shrink.. i guess i worded my question wrong, with hot soak do you usually have to soak less or more than 2-3 hours? will they shrink back to how they were when i bought them?

well i don't know for how long you should soak them, i didn't soak my jeans ever... but when you wash and soak them (hot) they shrink just a little bit more then when you first pulled them on! but just put em on while their still damp and then they stretch back your bodyshape

you're not gonna lose creases, and indigo loss isn't much when you are soaking them, but some indigo loss isn't bad at all, for how long do you have your jeans?

then my oppinion is to don't soak at all, wait for at least 5 months before you wash or anything... if they are stretchet out to much, wear a belt from now on. soaking them would be a shame

hi anyone know if i hot soaked my dry jeans, will the shrinking process for the inseam gonna end in the future? (i mean if there is a shrinkage on the inseam after the hot soak, then later on if i wash it will it shrink even more? i dunno whether they gonna shrink on a hot soak btw, i never soaked any of my drys yet), thanks for the help guys!

Not sure but if you stretch the inseam while the jeans are damp they should stretch back ;-)

(btw have not washed any of my nudies yet, so can't really help you, washed some levi's before and I streched out the inseam just fine)

They may shrink a little, but, assuming you're talking about nudies, they'll shrink very little. If they're hot washed later, they may shrink a little more, again very slightly, just because the water will be hotter in the machine. If they shrink too much on the inseam, you can always stretch them out again while they're damp (just be careful not to stretch too much!).

i wouldnt think theyd shrink twice..f rom what i understand they come pre shrunk from factory, so it will only shrink to what it was when you bought it, stretch out again, and then shrink again with a wash.

so i bought some slim jims from cultizm and 30waist and they were a little too tight for my liking, i was going to buy the RRDS originally but they seemed too loose fitting.
heres the thing, in the photo sections i see alot of RRDS's but with different fits. would a 30waist but slim or loose?

    im 6' 150lbs

    thanks!!

30 waist would be fine man
just keep wearing them, they will stretch out, even sleep in them the first 2-3 nights if you are uncomfortable wearing nut crunching jeans during the day. my RRDS was pretty tight but now it is loose, likewise with slim jim

so basically u need to strecth it till they dry again?? or just do a couple of strecthing and u can let them dry alone? sorry for stupid question but this thing always come into my mind (how troublesome it's to stretch the denim and wait till they dry.). Thanks again! ;)
