Yeah, I understand your point, like I said, I did it myself this way. But I wouldn't recommend it. You'll end up with a great faded pair of Nudies, that won't satisfy your need at some point, and then you won't wear them anymore. Invest a little more and get an awesome pair that lasts you for years. Or go for a mid-level model like Artistdenim, 3sixteen, ... What country is that btw? Its the same here. Important is your opinion, not the other's

IMO, if you already saw that you like dry denim (which you obviously do as you wear it and still like it) then there is no real point in "playing it safe".
Treatment? What is there to know? Wash when dirty :p It seems to me that you want to do everything perfect and get the perfect jeans...but we are still talking about a pair of jeans that you only should wear and then...look what comes out of it. If you are unsure or got questions: here is the forum. Read it, search for answers or ask.
And about fit. Just because you achieved to get a pair APC to fit right won't help you anything in sizing Flathead, Samurai or PBJ.

You just have to know what style you like. Do you want the more modern, slim to skinny fitting jeans? Well then go for APC or Nudie as they offer the more modern cuts (although some Japanese brands do too). If you more into the repro aspect, in love for details or interesting and amazing structure of the denim, then go Japanese

i see your point. and it's definitely a valid one.

    I'm Portuguese.

i could care less for others opinions. i do care altough about more experienced people such as you and b_F...

Honestly... ? i like both the rugged workwear repro and the more stilish diors & APC stance... both are lovely aproaches to Denim culture!!! as for fits, i also like to mix in a lot, but nothing baggy.

my problem right also relates to the fact that i have a bunch of designer denim jeans with little to no value in terms of raw denim experience (i have a sheet load of BOSS, Dolce, Trussardi, Armani...), and i just dont feel them anymore since i saw the light :)

but i might just end up by skipping directly to those lovely s710xx that have fallen in love with!

i'll just keep on perusing in the forums, keeping my questions to minimum possible.

thanks Guys (or girls.... ) you are truly good people, helpfull and straight forward! my kind of people! many thumbs up!

well if it's the 710 you already really like (and you are by far not the only one then ;-) ) then there is really no use in buying APC or Nudie beforehand. It will be a totally different pair of jeans! It's a slim fitting jeans (although you can play here with sizing down or up and stuff), the denim is incredible with a lot of fading potential. But the most important part is: it is unsanforized so totally different to Nudie and APC denim.

And as you are from Portugal you might order them from DC4 (Germany) to have no problems with customs and save shipping costs.

yeah. i was aware of the un\sanforized question. as for the 710, i like them because they have one detail i love compared to other models, wich is the stealth arcs (drool)

the sanforized issue with apc\Nudie actually only impresses-me due to the "from box to body" point, wich, honestly is not that big of a deal.

nice tip that one about dc4. totally unaware of that store! another for my Studio Denim favourites folder!!! :)

ps: i perused around dc4 and i saw a great collection but no Sams...

The 710s will be a great start, in between a repro and a modern cut. And you will end up with a great pair, as the denim has good fading potential. IMO, take the plunge into japanese denim (it's also worth the wait, if you don't have the money right now). DC4 will stock the 710 in every case, as it's the best selling cut (most probably).

ok. you guys convinced me... i'll skip the mid range!

it's not so much not having the money as i's not having the "crisis" sickness yet :)). it's more about the 20+ odd pairs of fake fade expensive designer jeans (worthless from a purist stand point - if i knew better some 3 years ago :( ) in my wardrobe that all of the sudden are no longer in use because i am working on a pair of crappy stf's... one can only wonder how "worse" it will be when i move to the wonders of 19oz denim!!! :)

does anyone has any experience about the sanforized and unsanforized iron heart?
Since they have the same cut (634S & 634SR), what are the major difference and pro/con?

sanforized denim doesn't shink, unsanforized denim shrinks when you wash/soak it.
the 634S has 21oz denim the 634SR has 21oz before washing and 23oz after washing (as it shrinks and thus gets more dense).
The SR has the more beatiful fades in my (and MaxPower's) eyes. More contrast.

But really, you asking simple, simple question you could solve with a quick google search or just by checking these guys out: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php

ops~ sorry, but thank you very much for your answer!
I am owning a momotaro 0100sp right now. which is sanforized. I like it so much (not the way they fade, because it is still new), because i don't have to soak it.
I got a levi's STF before, I am pretty sure I sized it up too much, so after a hot hot hot soak I am still not able to wear it (way too big). haha~ so always worry if I would mess up a unsanforized denim again.

Yes. I have the 666XHS (25 oz.). I also own 634S, and soon will have the 23 oz. 634SR.

Basically: if you need to know anything about Iron Heart jeans, just PM me, join the IH board or just read up on the item of your interest.

My nickname is 'Seul' on the IH forum (same piglet avatar). Feel free to contact me. Cheers ey!..

Since the XHS are all gone, I am trying to get the SR. Just wondering is the 634SR 100% cotton?
