First post, so apologies if this is a stupid question or in the wrong place. I was looking at buying a pair of Dry dirt organic Grim Tims. When I went to the store and tried on the size 30 (waist) and they just did not fit me. I found this odd as I own a pair of Tape Teds in a size 30 and they fit me perfectly (the ones I have are stretch, I doubt it would make much difference with how it fits me if it wasn't). My question is, are you meant to size up with Dry Denim, or is there a bit of 'give' in them once I break them in? Another question is when I tried on these Grim Tim's they didn't seem all that slim to me and were quite baggy - is this another thing that breaking them in will fix (there is a possibility that I was trying on a pair that were 32 or 34 length, as I usually wear a 30/30).

Thanks for the help, apologies for the long post.

Imo longer jeans do not fit as skinny as a pair which have the proper size.

quick question. My favorite jeans right now are LevisxNike 511 size 32x32. They measure 16.9 across the waist when I follow blue owls measuring guide. They might be a little loose at the waist but I don't need a belt because they are pretty stiff. What size Grim Tim Organic Dry Selvage would you recommend? Im thinking a 30x32 since everyone says they stretch a lot. I have no option to try them on because I live on an island. Thanks

    Hi, I'm new.=)

I'm considering buying a pair of GTDOS, but having trouble with sizing. I'd want 30L because I'm short, and I want the knees to be in the right place, etc. Also, I THINK I'd want 27W (I have a bit of room at the waist at least with 28W (though quite tight through leg), and I've read that these stretch... which makes me feel like it'd be safer to get a bit too tight to start with anyway... suffer a bit... and then enjoy your jeans?). Ideally then (I think?) I would get 27/30... however, the two sizes I can find online are 27/32 or 28/30.

    Which should I get?

I guess my question is, is correct length more important (to make sure the taper is in the right place), or correct waist (and is sizing down to 27W even the right move??).

Appreciate any help you can give!

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and to raw denim in general. Sorry to bother everyone with what must be the millionth sizing question but I'm looking to buy a pair of Grim Tims in Organic Dry Navy and was wondering what size I should go for. Due to my location I have to buy online and would prefer not to have to return the pair I pick up.

I usually wear a 28 waist, 30 leg in most jeans/chinos. However I've heard that raw denim stretches and shrinks so I was considering going for 27/30 instead - do people think this would be too tight or a better choice? I'm looking for a fairly skinny fit and I have pretty skinny legs (I don't do a lot of biking/working out so not a lot of muscle!).

I'd appreciate any help people can give. I know I'd rather have jeans that are too tight for a fortnight than too loose after they've stretched, so really I just want to get an idea of how much these jeans are likely to stretch out?

    Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest peoples to size down one or two from theire usual levi's size.

The waist does stretch, but crotch and thighs don't. Beware of that if you choose -2 as the GT can be a pretty tight cut.

Thanks for getting back to me - I thought sizing down would be the way to go. 26 seems scarily small though so I think I'll go for the 27. Cheers for the help :)

Hey there, I picked up my first pair of raw denim about a month ago (SJBDT 32x30). The waist fit just right at first, but as I should have known, they have stretched out considerably since (ok with a belt though). I've just ordered a pair of Grim Trim Orig Dry Selvage in 31x30, but reading some of these posts has got me worried. Based on my description, and pics in links below, should I have gone for 32x30 insteadl? I have big thighs and butt from squats and deadlifts, haha. Am I going to have issues with these?

Can any1 verify the accuracy of the nudies.com fit guide for SJ vs GT? The pictures make it look like GT has more room from the knees up compared to SJ.
Ugh... I can't decide whether to go for SJ or GT for my first pair.

The only other slim jeans I have experience with are Diesel Thavar and 7s slimmy fit. Can anyone compare them to GT/SJ?
Im basically looking for something that is slimming/straight but not skin tight and enough room to breathe. Im about 5'8-5'9, 160lb, slim build but not skinny.

Thanks ahead of time for any help

p.s. dry dirt organic VS. organic brokentwill

    which is better?

Hey, I'm really interested in buying a pair of Grim Tims, but it seems that the measurements vary even between different washes of GT. Nudie's own website doesn't make a difference between different washes but says all GT's have the same measurements, whereas for example an online clothes retailer Nelly has individual measurements for each wash (http://nelly.com/eu/search/#searchString=grim+tim&form=top). Some other online stores report different measurements. So I'm pretty confused what I should trust.

I'd like the "across waist" measurement (D in this picture: http://s.nelly.com/img/sizeguide/new/3.gif) for a pair to be 43-44 cm and judging by different sources, that could be anything from waist 32" to 36".
So I would really appreciate you measuring your pairs of Grim Tims and reporting their size, wash and actual measurements.

I'm especially interested in organic dry navy, dry dirt organic and organic black light.

    http://shop.nudiejeans.com/en/product/2493/org-dry-navy
    http://shop.nudiejeans.com/en/product/917/dry-dirt-organic
    http://shop.nudiejeans.com/en/product/2296/org-black-light

I'm a tall guy so I'm interested in inseam 36", but I'd assume an inseam 34" has the same across waist measurement.

    Thanks a bunch!

Hey! I got me a pair of Grim Tims Dry Dirt Organic withw size 33", and after wearing them for some days they stretched to about size 33,5" to 34" size (45cm across waist) if I compare them to a Levis 501's size. So I wear them a bit lower than usual.
I read that they shrink about 0,5"-1" after the wash, which I'm gonna do after the 6+ months.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! Dry Dirt Organic is probably my #1 choice at the moment so I really appreciate your comment.
Did you measure the 45cm yourself?

    And thanks for the link.

Yea, I measured the 45cm myself today. Anyway, I don't really regret that I bought them at size w33, which is my normal size, I love those jeans, but yea, as said my Levis 501 size w33 are 43cm, so get them a size smaller than usual if you want the same fit, atleast until the wash.
