Selvage line? ES So, i'm a noob on this site, i've worked with a.p.c's so far, and i went with the new standard cut, sized down 2 sizes. i've been lookin at these even stevens and im wondering if they have a selvage line, and how far down i should go http://www.cultizm.com/shop/product...EVEN-STEVEN-ORGANIC-DRY---NEW-COLLECTION.html i've been lookin at these, wondering if they have a selvage line also can anyone really shed light on the sizing, apc's really streched alot, i wear a 30 comfortably in seven jeans, so i went with a 28 in apc's. any suggestions, any help much appreicated
Nope, no selvage. If you want a selvage steven, get the MASA. I would stick with the 30's or possibly size down to a 29 depending on the fit you want.
Yeah the only selvage steven is the MASA and the ES Original Selvage (a prewash) both available at cultizm

ESOD and RRDS if i fit a RRDS in 32 and SJDry in 32/33, what should i go for in ESOD? do they stretch?
Hi there, I just yesterday bought a pair of ESOD from the nudie store in Sydney. I'm a natural waist of about 33/34 and tried on the 33/32 and 32/32. I decided to go for the 32/32 but unfortunately when i went to the counter the sales girl accidentally put the wrong size through and i didn't realise until i got home. I have quite big thighs and a fair ass on me and the 32 was a tight fit both in the waist and in the seat. The main reason i went for the 32 however was because i wanted to get the smallest taper i could fit. According to context clothing the 32 drops in opening width from the 33: 31 31 10 8.25 7.25 32 32 10.5 8.5 7.25 33 33 10.5 9 8 34 34 10.75 9.25 8 Basically i'm just deciding whether i should make the trek back and exchange them or stay with the 33. My questions are; Is this information correct in regards to the taper on the ES? How tight, realistically, should a dry pair of jeans be when you first wear them (my first dry pair :-D)? And what kind of stretch can i expect out of the 32 ES in the thigh and waist? Apart from that i loved the look of the jeans albeit a tad tight and i look forward to wearing them hard and with heart for many months. Cheers, Tom.
I'd go back and change them. My ESODs were sized down and quite tight in the beginning. They stretched out after about 2 weeks. Since you like to look of jeans being tight, you'd better exchange them for the 32 as I feel the 33 will not really look slim on you.
Even Stevens Dry Blue Black Does anyone have these jeans? Do they come stiff or soft? Can some people post pictures of how they fit. Thanks! I'm still contemplating whether or not I should purchase a pair for college.
They are stiff, but not as stiff as other nudies. The ESOD are stiffer. They fit the same as other ES. Just look for the pics in the forum (there are lots)
Hot soaking? i know hot soaking helps in shrinking the jean, and im wondering when to do it and if i do hot soak do i just do it in the bathtub with hot water? thanks alot! :-o
There are already 100 threads about this already so you should have/could have searched... BUT while I'm here... If you jeans are sanforized (which I'm guessing they are, considering you are asking this question) then hot soaking will do nothing in terms of shrinkage. If they are not sanforized, then yes, a good hot soak will shrink them. I'm not going to go intno detail about how to soak...because I think you should get acquainted with our lovely searh feature and find it out on your own.
