I have a question pretty much just for you bilmaga. I'm in Calgary too and I'm looking some dry joe's, but haven't had much luck. Holt is the only place I've found them, and only in dirt organic. Have you seen em in stock anywhere else recently? I'd really like to find a pair of dry selvage or dry red selvage, but I really dont have a clue where to look, and online isn't really an option for a kid like me. Any tips?

Oh, and same question for APC New Standard, they're my backup plan :-| Thanks man.

I rarely check retail stores to be honest. Out of my 150+ pairs of raw denim, almost all of them have been purchased online.

Have you tried Kix in southcentre mall? Either that orr Brooklyn Clothing, or Leo Boutique.

As far as APC, I have never seen any in Calgary, but I did see them for sale in a store in Banff. Can't remember the store, but it might be worth a day trip!

Never asked lol. I haven't bought much in a while, so I'm sure Ed has me beat!

That is a defenition of an addict right there. I'm sure that I'm not alone in the "more pairs than necessary" category!

    You could always try Pusch...
I remember they had Thin Finns, Slim Jims, and even Easy Emils. I don't know about Average Joe though...their selection is quite limited.

There is a place out in Banff as Bil mentioned, although I think their stuff is kind of costly. I don't know if they hold any APCs...last time I was there they had mostly Wesc/Nudies. The place is somewhere by the theatre though...

As for online...if you know of anyone (friends, family?) who can buy stuff online, I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping you out.

    150+ pairs, holy poop!
Thanks for the advice bil and keetner, I followed up on all of your leads except banff (but i do plan to go check that place out) and came out of it with a pair of EEDNO from pusch. Not what i was looking for at first, but i fell in love with the fit right away. Best part, only paid $128. I'll be putting up some pictures soon, thanks again guys :)

Big difference between those 2 is the material...

Dry Heavy is made using regular denim...

Dry Organic is made using organic cotton which give it a different look... look up pics in the gallery

    hope that helps

Is it possible to alter/taper just the leg part of the jean below the knee only?.
I brought some AJ's that are 34 waist yet the leg opening is a bit loose compared to my AJDH that are 32 waist yet i dont want to size down cos i've put weight on hence me going up in the waist.
I wanna take maybe 1/2 inch of the leg width from the leg opening.

What is the skinniest this Joe will go. I like Finns, but the yoke is too low and it rips all the time and you can't get finns in self edge :S . If i downsize lots, will it be skinnyer?

maybe you can bleach them. A lighter pair of jeans is nice too. Or wear them as your skate pants. sure that you´ll have some nice fadings after a period of shreddin :)
