I have been reading lots on how to soften jeans when washing them.
Some say to add salt to the machine or that not hang drying them as it keep them stiff as opposed to putting them in the dryer which will soften them up.
I have some prewash AJ's in 'dark crinkle' which feel like dry denim rather than other Nudie pre-washes and after wearing them for a while they still are stiff.
I dont want to wash them as they may shrink but might need to as my dry denim did'nt go that soft until after i washed them even though i wore them for 10 months before the 1st wash.
Any tips on how to lose the stiffness and make them softer?.

And before everyone says wear them till they go soft etc, i don't wear these jeans that often cos of how they are so it will be ages before i get enough wear from them.

yea, they're pre-washed, so they're not gonna have any significant shrinkage [if ever]... & even if they do, the fabric will stretch back out easily from wear__ that's also the main difference vs raw__ raw shrinkage is [more] permanent.

btw, [if you want to keep the crinkle finish longer] whatever you do, dont' machine dry... the crinkle finish will straighten out. if you can, avoid hang dry, too cuz the weight of the wet denim will also stretch the fabric__ just dry them flat on the fence/shrub or lay across parallel clothes line.

pre-washed, look at the word, read it out loud, think about it for a couple of minutes and I'm sure you'll figure it out eh...

the tumble dry is often named as one procedure to soften up denim. but it also shrinks denim more than just a wash...you decision

Just cos its pre-wash does'nt necessarily mean its wont shrink Lots of clothes apart from raw jeans shrink therefore i thought these jeans might shrink also but wanted to know how much they could shrink compared to raw denim. I think its was a valid question so no need for the sarcasm.
