I'll be starting late, looks like mine won't arrive until the 5th, and hopefully they fit fine.

Sounds like most people will be soaking straight off.

    one day to go gentlemen!

I say soaking on the 31st would be cool by me. that would let me be able to be a hung over drunkin slob, after a long new years eve of too much booze.

really, over a year what is a few hours going to change.

I picked up my pair today. I have three other pairs of fresh ones but in a larger size. I decided to go with my normal size and not rinse them to get more contrast. So I got a brand new STF (made in Mexico) a new police duty belt and a new Case XX knife and sheath... Hopefully in a year they will all be melded together nicely.

Got it hanging up in my closet and ready to roll on the 1st for it's newspaper photoshoot and then right into regular rotation.

I wonder if sitting in a bathtub for an hour with my jeans on will help with the hangover I will surely have on the 1st.

I don't see anything wrong with pre-soaking early, at least most people will get to wear theirs that first day...

Bil's plan will be fine. I understand being all geared up to go, and the lack of availability of newspapers on the holiday. I'm hoping to get some pics holding up the jeans with the ball dropping for the start of 2009 on the TV in the background.

Just as a reminder to those who are interested: people had requested that some pre/post-soak measurements be taken, so for those who can remember to take a minute to gather some of those, I'm sure it will be appreciated by others/lurkers/etc.

I was planning on taking a pic of my presoak pair with tags still on and tomorrows paper underneath, would taking a pic of them post soak with tomorrows paper be fine since we can soak them today?

A late newspaper is also fine. If you are a bit late, it won't matter because you will be at a disadvantage anyways.

    Here are my newspaper pics.

They are in the wash as we speak, So I can't get pre-soak measurements. But, to the best of my knowledge, I thing the pre-soak measurements are true to tag size. That is why they want you to buy a bigger/longer size than you usually do because they aren't vanity sized.

I went with a couple sizes too big because I wanted a looser fit. I hope thay won't be too big:oops:

I should have taken pics of mine with today's paper like above before soaking. Pre-soak my pair measured 33 1/2" inseam and 8 1/4" inch leg opening measured flat. They were tagged as 32x34.

You were supposed to take pics with the jeans BNWT with todays date. Otherwise you could have been wearing them previously.

    Tagged size: 38 x 34
    True waist: 39.5
    True inseam: 35

That's all I got before I managed to misplace my tape measure. I'm honestly about to tear my hair out over it, so I'm just gonna let it go now
