Good thing we pushed this contest back to 2009 and didn't begin when there were just 10 of us or so. I have a couple questions:

Who set up the prize sponsorship? A big thank you to you. Think there's any chance at some smaller second or third place prizes, now that there is a larger following?

Also, how are winners typically decided in these contests? This will be my first.

By the by, I'm sizing true-waist, 36, but getting them super long (38 - I usually wear a 34), and I think I will not soak at the beginning. Maybe after a couple of months of daily wear.

    Can't wait!!

    hmm..
I want these to fit straight, not super baggy...not tight by any means.
I'm wearing some thai fakes tagged at a 29, they were hot soaked once, and now
fit perfect. Should I go with a 29 in these as well? (I'm a true waist 28ish) or could I
get away with the 28's and just hot soak and wear when wet to get the waist stretched back out?

I'm about 3 minutes away from pulling the trigger on a pair of 28-34's...

You've both been added, so welcome aboard!

Moustache: The winners are typically decided via voting threads where people post some final pictures of their jeans. So, we'll do that (with the number of people, I'm guessing it may have to be split into two or three threads...). Also, the prize is being put up by Dejan (Cultizm) as arranged thanks to jyoni (if I recall correctly, things have been nuts). I can try to see about something smaller for a 2nd or 3rd place as well, as this contest has grown dramatically since things were originally arranged.

You guys, I did get a really good referral to a shop in the UK who sells both Nudie and LVC. I was going to simply go ahead and contact them about some sort of sponsorship/prize. But I felt kind of torn about it after approaching Dejan, cos I really should have just contacted Ryan with the idea and let him handle it from there

Maybe it's worth a try for some second/third place prizes, especially with all the people who have joined. I don't know what we could offer as incentive -- maybe access to some of the finished jeans for a season, for a display in her shop or something? In any case, an answer probably wouldn't come til after the start of the contest.

I like the new banner, but i personally think it would look better to say sponsored by cultizm or just cultizm, no "visit," but thats just my opinion.;-)

Wouldnt Levi's themself be interested in providing something as a 2nd/3rd place prize perhaps?
