I just messaged all this info to josh, figured I might as well post the information seeings I never got around to it.

    Questions:
1.Is the "coating" the same as nudies coating?
2.How is their fit compared to SJ Dry black Coated?
    3.The quality?
    4.Price?

    1. Coating seems to be a little different to the Nudie coating in it's application, but I can't say how so. It just has excess coating on the inside seems which you can pick off, which makes me think the the application of the waxing or coating is different to Nudie. They are shinier from new than my Nudie TFDBC ever were.

    2. I personally have never tried on the SJ coateds, so I can't comment particularly on that. Having said that, one main difference between the SJ and the Lee is that the Lees have a black weft/selvedge so and completely black all through, however the SJ have a white weft.

I would say the fit is somewhere between a Thin Finn and a Slim Jim.

This is a fit pic. I originally bought a 31 but swapped them for a 30. This is the fit of the 30.

    3. The quality is good. Altho Lee is known (in Aus) for stretching out alot. The denim is quite light, too, However I've only been wearing them as dress jeans, so I haven't worn them very hard.

    4. I bought these from a shop in Perth, Australia called Live. A pretty crappy shop, but some decent denim. They cost me $200 AUDs. Which is alot, but you can't really find a pair of black coated selvedge jeans for anything less, so I just dropped the dough.

More pictures, taken with my camera phone:

thats all the pictures I have, but if you wanted to compare it to my skulls in size 31:

and size 29 Slim Jim Dry Japan (pretty much too small)

    other info
    100% cotton
    Lock stitch hems
Chain stitched waist band inseam etc.
Selvedge coin pocket (exposed, but black selvedge line - not as poser as the white edge)
    Button fly
    Black back pocket stitching
Grey accent stitching throughout jeans and inseam.
    Size down - these stretch.
Painted gray rivets - my paint has worn off a fair bit. you decide if thats good or bad. I like it.
The edge of the selvedge seems to have been dyed red, rather stitched except along the very edge.

    It's the L2 man.

I find the L2 cut a tiny bit goofy. Small thighs. I just noticed that the other day!

I think that everyone needs a pair of black coated denimz for their library. It's a staple.

I bought a pair of Lee 101 Loggers over summer. I've worn them a little over 20 times. I like them very much, but I don't know if they're selvedge or not. There is double stitching down both sides of the legs:
But, there appears to be what could be the selvedge edge around the waistband:

Did Lee just make these differently than usual? I know all other Lee 101 pants I've seen have had the selvedge edge running down the outside of the legs like usual. Also, most other Lee 101 selvedge I've seen is either red or green line, while this is white. I know my Lee 101 selvedge trucker jacket has the selvedge edge running around the bottom of the jacket unlike Levi's, which has them running vertically down the opening by the buttons in the front, so maybe Lee just does their stuff different than normal for some of their clothes? I came across the Loggers while on Tumblr, and the dude that posted a picture of them had "selvedge" as one of the tags, so I assumed they were selvedge when I ordered them. I'd hate to have them turn out to just be regular old jeans, but would rather be sure either way. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
