No I still like some of their Tees but the latest Tee I bought was...well...not good quality and got a hole after one week of light wear...

Although I'm breaking in my LVC 67505 for the Cultizm contest atm, I definitely still like Nudie.

I always enjoy wearing my SJDBC, TFUIC and Lab Joe. My next project should be either the TFOEE or BB Veggie :)

I love nudie still, for several reasons.

1.) If somebody mentions that the quality of nudie can't compare with jap brands and the like - may be true, but you pay 2-3 times more for jap Jeans. (Noone starts a discussion, wether an Audi is better than a Peugeot). And, from my experience, I got no quality issues on my Ralfs I wore constantly every day 11 Months.

2.) Nudie got me into dry denim - and that's like i feel when it comes to music. I may not like the crap Bad Religion did the last 20 years, but they got me into Punk Rock / Hardcore and I still get the same feeling when I listen to them nowadays. It's like old friends, when you evolve in different directions, you still feel connected with what you went through and what you did together. And your jeans are a close friend that lives your live and shares your problems and joy (If someone prints that in the next nudie catalogue, I want to get paid )

3.) Nudie's got some cuts (for me the Ralf and the Finn) that are pretty unique, as they are more modern than repros. I would def. buy another Dry Ralf, if there was an attractive model.

4.) I really love the brand's engagement in organic and sustainable clothing and the Amnesty International project. Which other, bigger brand does something like that?

5.) I like the marketing concept (booklet design, photographs and the like). Now you may say, that marketing is bad at all, and I feel quite the same when I see Nudie becoming mainstream. But I never felt me being a fashion-victim wearing my worn-in nudies and meeting some pre-wash guys on the street, it's my own created jeans that I wear and I know why.

6.) It's just jeans, wear what you want how you want to and don't bother about others. He wins, who enjoys wearing his jeans the most, wether if it's True Religion or Veggie Dyed Momotaros.

^ Couldn't have put it better myself... specifically #2. I would never have gotten into denim had I not heard the name "Nudie" mentioned and checked it out.

I've never had a pair of Nudies before :p
But I see it plenty, there's a Nudie flagship store about 5 minutes walk from my house.

I guess I'm the odd one out...
My introduction to super-denim were from Edwin (not surprising given my Asian heritage).

Same story here, Nudie introduced my into the whole dry denim thing, and for that, ill be thankful forever ;-). The problem i see is the more the company has grown over the last 10 years and with the "worldwide" success, the quality of the products suffered. Not so much on jeans, wich still is their main business, but they have some really cheap ass quality and overpriced accessories...it may looks good on the website, but as there is a nudie jeans concept store near my place, i got the chance to see all this stuff "live"...so i cant decide between "nudie rocks" or "this train is gone"! I think its both...

Nudies with their iconic orange thread always looks cool but they need to come up with some better fits. Not so keen on their latest ones. Still love them but not wearing at the moment.

^ Why do they need better fits? They already have pretty much every fit imaginable...

Do you mean the Easy Emil, Big Bengt, Fast Freddy? Although those may not be everyone's favourite fit, they still have their good fits like TF and SJ?
IMO They just need to stop killing off classics like SJDJ, SJDG, and models like ESBB,TFUIC! If they're gonna discontinue these models, at least come out with some new dry denim instead of only Dry Red Selvage and prewashes.

I agree... seems like Nudie has more prewashes than Drys these days :-(

I wouldn't mind it so much if they didn't get rid of the classics like the Dry Japan, but they still do. Doesn't make sense to me.

Ironically I bought my first pair of raw jeans from Marshalls.. and they were nudie GTDB. I got those about a year and a half ago, and sold them, then saw the same exact pair so I decided, I MUST have haha.

Personally, I love nudie, just the prewashes suck... well most of them. I own a pair of prewashed nudie's and nothing special to them IMO. They did get me into Raw denim so I don't care, they will probably always be loved by me. But comparing these to other mal brand jeans per say, it is like trying to compare a pair of JH Audio JH13's vs. a pair of stock apple ipod earbuds, it just doesn't work out.
    1) The brands are for different types of people.
    2) The cuts and washes are WAY different.

The only reason I would not like nudie is cause they may be taking a turn for the worse by going down the popular road instead of quality, but I don't know, it is only because I feel like they are getting more popular... And to the people talking about discontinuing models, at least if they are going to kill off slim jim's lets say, come out with a newer pair like one with selvage, instead of just prewashed SJ's.

^ That is true, I think Nudie said that they're coming out with some new Dry Jims for S/S2011. Hopefully they live up to the Dry Japan's reputation!
