i actually started off with myspace forums. i was one of the worst offenders of bashing on people just for enjoyment. my myspace got deleted recently 'cause i had mma and stand up fighting vids on it and they asked me to delete it but i just ignored them. i'm glad it got deleted though, was wasting too much time there but i definitely prefer socialising with people in a non friendly way when on the net. don't think i will start being active on superfuture though, i really don't want to get sucked in and become part of any more internet communities that would take up too much of my time. i was/still am part of k1fans but yea, i got bored there too and i've decided jeans will be my new hobby after kickboxing and following all the kickboxing events was taking up way too much of my time.
oh yea, a delayed happy bday to cameland too. come to think of it, mine was also not long ago and after yours. WHERE WAS MY E-LOVE DEDICATION THREAD?
okay for a late pressie, next time you see ivan, keep calling him "chris" "cristoph" "tarrant" or any variant of these names together. If you do this I'll make a thread for you k thnx
this should go in the movie thread, but what the neuk... Well I'm kinda with you on Ewan in the role of Obiwan, tho I'm not too fond of our young man that is taking the role of Vader, he does a good job, don't get me wrong but in ep. 3 he should have looked a bit older imo... overall the pre-quells are good movies and ofcourse going back to the dolls era wouln't have been an option but still I think alot of computer animation these days is just killing the movies, it looks good but sometimes it looks so frikking good that it doesn't look natural anymore... overall, I appreciate the original movies more, they achieve something that the pre-quells don't, I get sucked into the whole story and SW world with those movies, with the pre-quells, that just didn't happen... furthermore I'm still pretty pissed that Darth Maul did not get a bigger part, he's the most intriguing character in the whole SW universe to me and yeah underworld is with Kate Beckinsale
Eh, it's in the anything sub-forum.. I like the prequels more because they didn't have CGI tech back then. They had to rely on slick camera work to make the SFX look real. It added to the storyline, because there were often things you couldn't see, but could imagine what was happening. Now with CGI, it's just lazy lazy film-making at its worst. No one has to try and storyboard a proper sequence because CGI can take care of any shortfall in the shot in post. bleh. if you really want to see some maverick and genius film-making, look to the independants. A very good example is 'Cube.' One of the better lower budget sci-fi indy films I've seen. EDIT: Yay! I'm Vintage Nudie!!! :-D
man! seriously Cube is a sick film! didn't think I would ever hear anyone else saying they liked it... yeah, CGI is going too far and making films less 'magic'
At times CUBE was a bit too artsy. The storyline got too carried away with being too smart. Plus, the ending was so obvious (the one who survives last), the little twist at the end about the start room was the only thing that really saves it. It was a good movie for what it was, and Nicole de Boer is hot.
has anyone seen "A sound of thunder". this movie made me laugh. after seeing this t-rex in this movie that was released only 12 years after Jurassic Park. JP came out when CGI wasn kinda new and i think this is a good example of just enough visual effects
Yeah, but you can't compare a $100 million dollar movie to a $10 million straight to video movie. Even with the advances in tech over 12 years, nothing beats professional polish like a couple hundred mil.
It's D-Day, Swedens national day and Camelands brithday. sureley this day is quite special. Congrats!
