I ordered the Grim Tim's thinking they wouldn't be very slim, but they were beyond just slim and were super tight. They were painted on. I could only do the top button easily and they were clearly squishing my butt in and compressing my body.

The waist fit perfectly though at size 25 vanity size (since my waist is about 26 to 26.5 inches), just as I calculated. The denim was softer than the really cheap stuff out there from American Eagle, but was not super soft and fluffy like the premium Italian denim from Lucky Brand and J-Brand, which was a disappointment.

Can anyone recommend anything? I'm thinking that Slim Jim might not be lose enough if that is just one fit up. I might have to go to Steady Eddie, which has a button fly which is nice. However, I notice both Slim Jim and Steady Edie is missing size 25. Steady Edie only offered in two really light washes called "True Classic" and "Core Bay". The pictures look looser than I'd like too, but perhaps the model is wearing them too low or a size too big for them. Slim Jim is not offering any washed jeans.

I'm not a skinny legged guy, I'm just relatively fit with a narrow waist and want to wear fitted jeans that fit well in the waist and seat and are relatively close in the leg with a good clean taper near the lower calf and angle to not look messy. I'd like to get a nice dark washed jean with stretch and ideally it would have been made out of some super soft fluffy denim.

It looks like I'll have to wait to see if something else becomes available or try another brand. It is very hard to find brands with size 25 waist for men, so I may just get some made to measure jeans as well.

    Thanks

What do you mean only the top button? Don't you usually start buttoning from the lowest button and work up? Or do you actually mean what you say ie. that you can do up the waist button, but not the fly ones?
