I got a pair of these the other day for a bargain.

Pretty nice pair. The fit is slightly different to the GTDDO. Slightly wider in the legs and at the leg opening.

    Anyone else got them?

i've got one too! very comfortable i'd say.. softer than the regular orange or red selvedge... i like! they fit true size. i got em a size too big thus i bought another one.. now i'm stuck with one extra to sell. duh.
are yours shiny? i find mine a little shiny when viewed at certain angles.

    Open construction?

I have a pair of these open dry selvedge and a pair of the dry orange selvedge as well. I really like these jeans - have been wearing about a week and they are so beautifully soft! I'm wondering how they are going to break in though, ESP by comparison to the orange selvedge? My guess is that these jeans will fade very quickly due to the open construction (which I take to mean that the weave isn't as tight as it is on other dry denim) but that is just a guess. I was wondering about other people's opinions....

    Cheers :)

Hmm, in general loose and smooth denim fades much slower than rigid, stiff one...Imagine a piece of paper that you fold and unfold and a piece of cloth. What keeps the shape longer? My organic nudies who were really soft and smooth never faded properly.

Hot soaked my GT last nite to make it fit tighter since they run slightly big.almost cried seeing the indigo coming out... :(
i think they're kinda ok now, indigo wise.keep pulling them down to make sure the inseam arent too short.measured it to compare,it shrunk around 2 cm,from 109cm to 107.i really2 hope i've pulled them much, they're drying up now under the sun.

Is your pair fading? Mines are barely fading at all after several months now...

No fading so far (nearly 4 months but unfortunately I wear a suit to work).

What is the fit like? I'll probably persevere for a few more months and then get a new pair.

The fit is good, but If you don't wear them at work they're more like 2 months than 4, which explains the lack of fading.

It's hard to resist, but you should wait 2013 before getting a new one.

    Cheers guys.

Kamikaz - it's very hard to resist. I fancy trying a pair of APC new standard then maybe rotating between the two. That shouldn't be for a couple months yet (and only if the NS fits well).

diaz - I just got my usual 32". If anything they are a bit loose in the upper block. Sizing down would have looked like jeggings though...

I like your fit man. Get some post soak pics up.

@carl:dude you liked my fit?i liked yours better.lol.its just too lose.yours looked a bit slimmer,i wear a 34 in thin finn which is nice, but this 34 in GT open dry is off.i think 33 would have been better.
i hot soaked them last week, but i feel they're slightly shrunk in terms of size, but kinda ok compared to the original state.i'll post some fit pics. ;)

for Carlweathers,i want your fit more!!

This is my Grim Timm Dry Open Selvage.only for 2 months, not so much wear cause rotating with my Thin Finns.I hot soaked them last month to shrink it cause these GTDOS runs slightly big.but after the hot soak,i dont really feel much different than the previous pic.i wanted it to shrink more to make it tighter cause i want to get more creases.NOT cause i like looking like daffodil in a tight jeggings.LOL.
