Iniesta should have won a Oscar the way he flew around the field. Congrats to Spain though, they were the better team!

Actually, if the referee would have been giving the correct calls, there would have been 6-7 dutch players left on the field at the end.

He just didnt have the guts to send Robben of for shooting putting in the ball after that he had blown the vissle for offside. Thats a yellow card for gods sake!

Then, its incredible how they can protest so ****ing much for their own dirtyness, so much that they just achieved more yellow cards for it.
Kind of stupid, really. Thats how they won over Brasil obviously.

    Viva españa!

    Yep, youre right! PARTYTIME!

I love Holland! Just that this team was not what I would have exected from Holland. I would have preferred to see Germany in the final...

Though I did put on my orange tee, as announced here, I am very much at ease with the result. Once again, Spain did not always offer very attractive football, but effectiveness and dominance. Plus I thought the Dutch exaggerated quite a bit their toughness, there were too many and too harsh fouls by them.

So the best team has won, Germany was defeated by the later champions (and yes, I haven't forgotten, by Serbia earlier on...), an octopus makes us all wonder, and Forlan has indeed been named as the best player of the tournament. This is somewhat gratifying, as I suggested as much right here, a day ago. I think no single player has done as much for his team as Forlan did for Uruguay.

So, congrats to Espana, commiserations to my Dutch friends, and now we get back to real life (and denim...) again, yes?

Boring match, I have to agree, but congratz to spain, I still love seeing some teams playing a beautiful style and fair. Sorry, I like the Netherlands and the dutch ppl a lot, but your team gives football a bad name.

As much of a Holland fan that I am, I miss the 80s and 90s when Holland was fun to watch. Spain deserved to win but the game was boring. I'd rather see Germany and Uruguay in the final. In my opinion, Germany was the best overall team this World Cup.
