It's ironic. We pay *more* for something that's plainer and less loud lol.

    Bloody economics  haha

This is a great thread. I can always use new hoodies :)
Looks like I'm going to have to check out some stuff at H&M and American Apparel.
Seems like that's a large majority of what's being suggested!

If you buy American Apparel hoodie buy it on ebay. I got 3 for $60, a definite deal because they cost $40 for 1 at the store

yeah, i know- it's f*ckin freezin here in newcastle...

right, i think there are a couple of retailers who do stock them in sydney, i did see one place selling them on george st, up around incu, but i don't remember the name of it. there's another place in darlinghurst i think, another inch i think it's called?

be warned, they cost about 200 bucks a throw. i got mine at the end of canadian season sale from havenshop.ca, which is worth checking out too.

@ poujouo- yeah, tell me about it, in a perfect world nothing would have a garish print or oversized logo on it, but until then i'll keep paying more for understatement ;-)

cold snap hit town today!!! how pleasant it is to walk out of the house in the morning and getting punched in the face by the cold. Wore my conny dry with a hurley hoodie today (ordinary quality... but i liked the print when i bought it), but need something more understated and plain;-) think i will just pick up a bonds hoodie from target on the weekend

^ these bonds kick arse this year, i think i'm gonna stock up- some years they can be pretty ordinary... imagine getting all lathered up over bonds? ;-)

and it's about time you queenslanders got to taste the cold, it's been f*cking freezing down here for a week now, it must've dropped ten degrees overnight last weekend and stayed there ever since. i've been getting full-body shakes all week- i used to live in sweden and i've never been so badly thrown by a sudden cold snap :-(

haha yea i noticed it too. Funny thing was one of my friends who rides to uni from ipswich only wore a t-shirt and shorts to uni yesterday. All he had on top of that for the trip was a riding jacket.

Pretty sure his skin had a bluish tinge to it even after he'd been in a heated room for an hour. and then for lunch he had untoasted subway and a cold drink :-|

^ same happened to me the other day, got out of the heated car after a shower and walked to the library in a t-shirt, wondering why everyone was looking at me funnily. about 20 minutes later, after i'd cooled down a bit, i realised why :-(

edit- oh christ, this thread has been hijacked by queenslanders! none of you should even know what a hoody is, you bastards ;-)

^ no worries- they're generally pretty cheap if you catch them at the end of the canadian seasons, which works quite well for australians- plus the canadian dollar ain't all that strong right now. the free postage is only for a short time, usually it's about 18-25 bucks CAD. plus they're reliable, i've had nothing but good experiences with them. nb- those prices are all CAD, not USD. there are a few other uk retailers but they're mostly pretty shit, i only buy denim from the uk nowadays.

as for cheap, go buy some bonds hoodies. those american apparel hoodies look pretty sweet too, but i baulk at their prices...
