I just got a GRN Apple Tree hoodie that I love (ordered from America). Other than that, Stussy make some awesome hodies.

To whoever said Bape, I can't stand them. They are really not such great designs at all and there's no way they are worth the prices you pay for them. I mean honestly, Bape is a perfect example of people who care more about appearances than fashion buying something because it's "exclusive" rather than caring about little things like the fact that it looks horrible. And don't even get me started on people who wear "fape".

wow, a hoodies forum- doesn't look like it's been active for a while, though, so i might see if i can kick-start it again now that winter is creeping on here in australia...

my fave- hands down- is reigning champ, i have two of these, one hoodie and a shawl neck, bought on haven at the end of the canadian winter. these have spoilt me, i will never find anything that approaches the quality of these, although that won't stop me looking- and if any of you all out there knows of a similarly high-quality hoodie with hardcore heavyweight fleece, let me know, because i'm still lookin.

nearest i've found to that i suppose is carhartt, but their heavyweight fleeces seem pretty blah by comparison to rc...

and on the cheap and nasty tip, you can't beat bonds- i'd heartily suggest all australians get down to their local kmarts and grab one their hoodies, even if everything else they do nowadays- esp the raglan, which used to be my staple- has pretty much gone to shit...

I'm a fan of the new line of David and Goliath. I've never tried on or felt reining champ material quality so I wouldn't know first hand. Having said that DandG would be on the top of my list of hoodies at the moment, quality wise.
Glue stores stock them if you want to check them out davety.

    Bonds & American Apparel.

I'm a plain hoody man and I don't like really heavy fleece things either.

i dig bonds everything, even if the quality has gone to shit in the last few years. american apparel appeals, but they are a bit of a scam, charging triple for what is essentially basics that 5 years ago could've been gotten easily through hanes- who have funnily enough disappeared from kmart to david jones, with the prices following suit. that sort of thing pisses me off.

not a bit fan of d&g, just more stupid vomit shirts that if i ever bought i would probably throw away out of embarrassment after a few wears. i don't mean to be rude there, i just prefer mine to be a little more understated, and the big problem i have with most hoodies is that they're all a little too flamboyant, without necessarily making up in quality. as for reigning champ- think of it as double the density of a d&g with 100% cotton fleece and top-of-the-line hardware, with a really understated look. ultimate basics.

Yeah no offense taken bro, totally understandable, D&G hoodies are pretty "loud" hoodies not only that you're paying more for the name than the actual material. Nevertheless it's the best quality hoodie I've come across so far.
Since the winter has just hit Sydney with a bang I'm starting to take interest in this "Reigning Champ" brand. Do any retailers stock them in Australia?
